أعلن نادي نيوم الوافد الجديد لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، عن تعاقده مع الجناح الأوروغوياني الشاب لوتشو رودريغيز (22 عاماً) قادماً من فريق باهيا البرازيلي، وذلك عبر حسابه الرسمي في موقع التواصل الاجتماعي منصة «X».
ولعب لوتشو رودريغيز 180 مباراة رسمية سجل خلالها 44 هدفاً وصنع 11 هدفاً، ويعتبر أبرز إنجاز له مساهمته في تتويج منتخب بلاده بكأس العالم تحت 20 سنة بإحرازه لهدف اللقاء الوحيد أمام إيطاليا عام 2023 في الأرجنتين، وفي العام الماضي 2025 لعب بقميص باهيا 47 مباراة سجل خلالها 13 هدفاً وصنع هدفاً وحيداً، وبذلك يكون رودريغيز رابع لاعب من الأوروغواي يتواجد بالدوري السعودي لهذا الموسم بجانب داروين نونيز لاعب نادي الهلال وناثان نانديز وجاستون الفاريز لاعبا نادي القادسية.
الجدير بالذكر أن فريق نيوم دشن مشواره في دوري المحترفين بخسارة في لقاء الافتتاح أمام مضيفه الأهلي بهدف دون مقابل، ورغم الخسارة إلا إن فريق نيوم قدم رسالة لفرق روشن بأنه سيكون له شأن في ظهوره الأول لدوري المحترفين.

His most notable achievement is his contribution to his national team's victory in the Under-20 World Cup by scoring the only goal in the match against Italy in 2023 in Argentina. Last year, in 2025, he played 47 matches for Bahia, scoring 13 goals and providing one assist. Thus, Rodriguez becomes the fourth Uruguayan player to be in the Saudi league this season, alongside Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal, and Nathan Nandez and Gaston Alvarez from Al Qadsiah.
