اختتمت مساء اليوم (الثلاثاء) تصفيات كأس آسيا تحت 23 سنة وحُددت من خلالها المنتخبات المتأهلة لنهائيات البطولة التي ستقام في المملكة العربية السعودية خلال الفترة من 7 إلى 25 يناير 2026.
وتمكن 11 منتخباً من تصدر المجموعات والتأهل بجدارة واستحقاق منها 4 منتخبات عربية وهي قطر والعراق والأردن وسورية، إضافة لمنتخبي لبنان والإمارات اللذين تأهلا ضمن «أفضل 4 ثواني»، إضافة لمنتخبنا الوطني السعودي مستضيف البطولة، ليصبح عدد المنتخبات العربية 7 منتخبات من أصل 16 منتخباً مشاركاً، وبقية المنتخبات التسعة هي؛ اليابان (حامل اللقب)، أستراليا، كوريا الجنوبية، إيران، قيرغيزستان، فيتنام، تايلند، إضافة للصين وأوزبكستان اللذين تأهلا ضمن «أفضل 4 ثواني» في التصفيات، وقد تنافس 44 منتخباً على بطاقات التأهل الـ15 إلى النهائيات، وهو أكبر عدد من المشاركين في تاريخ البطولة.
الجدير بالذكر أنه سبق أن تُوّجت خمسة منتخبات باللقب منذ انطلاق هذه البطولة في 2013، واليابان هو المنتخب الوحيد الذي فاز باللقب مرتين (2016 و2024)، والعراق (2013)، وأوزبكستان (2018)، وكوريا الجنوبية (2020)، والسعودية (2022).

The qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup concluded this evening (Tuesday), determining the teams that will qualify for the finals of the tournament, which will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from January 7 to 25, 2026.
Eleven teams managed to top their groups and qualify with merit, including four Arab teams: Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria, in addition to Lebanon and the UAE, which qualified as "the best 4 second-placed teams." Our national team, Saudi Arabia, as the host of the tournament, brings the total number of Arab teams to seven out of 16 participating teams. The remaining nine teams are Japan (the defending champion), Australia, South Korea, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Thailand, along with China and Uzbekistan, which also qualified as "the best 4 second-placed teams" in the qualifiers. A total of 44 teams competed for the 15 qualification spots for the finals, marking the largest number of participants in the tournament's history.
It is worth mentioning that five teams have previously won the title since the tournament's inception in 2013, with Japan being the only team to win the title twice (2016 and 2024), and Iraq (2013), Uzbekistan (2018), South Korea (2020), and Saudi Arabia (2022).
