انتصر فريق تشلسي على مضيفه وست هام في ريمونتادا مثيرة وبخماسية مقابل هدف في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على ملعب لندن الأولمبي في انطلاقة لقاءات الجولة للدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.
شهد اللقاء تقدم وست هام بهدف مبكر عن طريق لوكاس باكيتا (د: 6) وتكمن تشلسي من العودة للقاء عن طريق لاعبه جواو بيدرو (د: 15)، وعاد وست هام للتقدم مجدداً عن طريق نيكلاس فولكروج ولكن الحكم ألغى الهدف بعد العودة لتقنية الفيديو لوجود نيكلاس في موقع التسلل، وتمكن تشلسي من إضافة الهدف الثاني والتقدم في المباراة عن طريق بيدرو نيتو (د: 23)، وسط احتجاجات من لاعبي وست هام لوجود خطأ قبيل الهدف، ومن ثم أحرز تشلسي الهدف الثالث عن طريق إنزو فرنانديز (د: 34).
واستمر تفوق تشلسي رغم التبديلين اللذين أجراهما مدرب وست هام السيد جراهام بوتر بين شوطي اللقاء بإشراك كالوم ويلسون وفريدي بوتس إذ سجل مويسيس كايسيدو الهدف الرابع (د: 54)، وبعد أربع دقائق فقط استطاع تريفوه تشالوباه من تسجيل الهدف الخامس لتشلسي (د: 58)، وبعد ضمان النتيجة أجرى مدرب تشلسي السيد إنزو ماريسكا 4 تبديلات دفعة واحدة واستمرت النتيجة كما هي عليه إلى أن أعلن الحكم مايكل اوليفر عن نهاية اللقاء بفوز تشلسي بخمسة أهداف مقابل هدف.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق تشلسي أول فوز له في الدوري لهذا الموسم ويصل للنقطة الرابعة متصدراً جدول الترتيب مؤقتاً، فيما تلقى وست هام الخسارة الثانية وتجمد رصيده بدون أهداف ويتذيل جدول الترتيب، وسيستضيف تشلسي في الجولة القادمة نظيره فولهام، فيما يحل وست هام ضيفاً على نوتنجهام فورست.

Chelsea triumphed over their hosts West Ham in a thrilling comeback, winning five goals to one in the match held at the London Olympic Stadium as the opening game of the English Premier League round.

Moisés Caicedo scored the fourth goal (54'), and just four minutes later, Trevoh Chalobah managed to score Chelsea's fifth goal (58'). After securing the result, Chelsea's coach, Mr. Enzo Maresca, made four substitutions at once, and the score remained unchanged until referee Michael Oliver announced the end of the match, with Chelsea winning five goals to one.
With this result, Chelsea achieves their first victory in the league this season, reaching four points and temporarily topping the standings, while West Ham suffers their second loss, remaining without points at the bottom of the table.
