The social advisor and sports enthusiast Talal Mohammed Al-Nashari believes that three main factors contributed to Al-Ittihad winning the Roshan League and the most prestigious cup. These are: (the integration of the administrative system, the dedication, efforts, and loyalty of the players, and the support, encouragement, and backing of the loyal fans). Al-Ittihad has sought, through these three elements since the start of the league and the King’s Cup qualifiers, to prove its presence by delivering strong performances against stubborn teams that were also striving to win titles with all their might.
In detail, Al-Nashari told "Okaz": If we look at the first axis related to the administrative system, we find that Al-Ittihad has a strong management, an experienced coach who works quietly, and a technical staff that has made great efforts throughout the season. All these factors have led to qualifying the players at a high level, which reflected on their performance on the field. We must also remember that whenever there is a successful administrative environment, its impact is reflected on the entire system.
He continued: As for the second axis related to the dedication, efforts, and loyalty of the players, there is no doubt that Al-Ittihad players exerted tremendous efforts throughout the sports season, whether in the league or the King’s Cup. Al-Ittihad has experienced players and professionals who give a lot on the field. The most important trait that distinguishes these players is their ability to play with a team spirit and not succumb to despair or frustration. Many times, the team was trailing in score, but they managed in critical moments to turn the tables to a draw or a win. This was not limited to regular matches but also included decisive matches, classics, and derbies. All of this was achieved by rearranging the game’s tactics by coach Laurent Blanc and the players' ability and understanding to double their efforts in those difficult and critical times.
Al-Nashari added, as for the third and important element, which is the support, encouragement, and backing of the loyal fans, there is no room to underestimate their vital role and support for their team wherever they played and at any time. Al-Ittihad fans are a model to be emulated; their presence in the stadium, with a very large following, makes them the best football fans not only at the Arab level but also globally. Thus, Al-Ittihad fans are considered the number one player, not the 12th, and their significant presence in the stadiums added prestige and artistic beauty alongside the creative tifos that Al-Ittihad uniquely showcased in the league and cup competitions.
Al-Nashari concluded his remarks by stating that Al-Ittihad wrapped up its season with a golden double, supported by fans who know no impossible. They excelled in yesterday's match against Al-Qadisiyah in the King’s Cup final, and the grand crowning came from the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - who presented the cup to the Al-Ittihad team on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in a historic football night held at the "Al-Inma" stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
