أعلن نادي أولمبيك مارسيليا الفرنسي استمرار المغربي مهدي بن عطية في منصب المدير الرياضي للنادي حتى نهاية الموسم الحالي، بعد أيام قليلة من إعلانه استقالته.
وأكد مالك النادي فرانك ماكورت أن بن عطية سيتولى الإشراف على جميع الأنشطة الرياضية واختيار المدرب الجديد، بينما سيتم تقليص مهمات رئيس النادي الإسباني بابلو لونغوريا.
ويأتي القرار في ظل فترة صعبة يعيشها مارسيليا بعد خروج الفريق من دوري أبطال أوروبا والهزيمة الثقيلة أمام باريس سان جيرمان، بالإضافة إلى رحيل المدرب الإيطالي روبيرتو دي زيربي .
The French club Olympique Marseille announced the continuation of Moroccan Mehdi Benatia in the position of sporting director of the club until the end of the current season, just a few days after he announced his resignation.
Club owner Frank McCourt confirmed that Benatia will oversee all sporting activities and select the new coach, while the responsibilities of club president Pablo Longoria will be reduced.
This decision comes during a difficult period for Marseille after the team was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and suffered a heavy defeat against Paris Saint-Germain, in addition to the departure of Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi.
