أعلن نادي نوتنغهام فورست المنافس في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تعيين أنجي بوستيكوجلو مدرب توتنهام هوتسبير السابق مدرباً جديداً له، بعد إقالة نونو إسبيريتو سانتو من المنصب.
وأكد فورست في الساعات الأولى من صباح اليوم إقالة إسبيريتو سانتو من منصبه، بعد أن اعترف المدرب البرتغالي الشهر الماضي بانهيار علاقته مع مالك النادي إيفانجيلوس ماريناكيس، طبقاً لما نقلته «رويترز».
وقال ماريناكيس في بيان تعيين بوستيكوجلو: «نجلب إلى النادي مدرباً لديه سجل ثابت ومستمر في تحقيق الألقاب».
وأضاف: «خبرته في تدريب الأندية على أعلى مستوى، إضافة إلى رغبته في بناء شيء مميز معنا في فورست، تجعله شخصاً رائعاً لمساعدتنا في رحلتنا نحو تحقيق كل طموحاتنا بشكل مستمر».
وقاد مدرب منتخب أستراليا السابق المولود في اليونان توتنهام هوتسبير إلى أول ألقابه الكبرى منذ 2008 عندما حقق لقب الدوري الأوروبي، لكن توتنهام عانى تحت قيادته في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز بعدما احتل المركز 17 ليقال من منصبه في يونيو الماضي.
Nottingham Forest, competing in the English Premier League, announced today (Tuesday) the appointment of former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach, following the dismissal of Nuno Espírito Santo from the position.
Forest confirmed early this morning the dismissal of Espírito Santo, after the Portuguese coach admitted last month that his relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis had collapsed, according to Reuters.
Marinakis said in the statement announcing Postecoglou's appointment: "We are bringing to the club a coach with a proven and consistent track record of winning titles."
He added: "His experience in managing clubs at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey to achieve all our ambitions continuously."
The former Australian national team coach, born in Greece, led Tottenham Hotspur to their first major trophy since 2008 when they won the UEFA Europa League, but Tottenham struggled under his leadership in the Premier League, finishing 17th, leading to his dismissal in June.
