خاض «زعيم الفلاحين» مواجهات أمام البنك الأهلي وسموحة والجونة والأهلي، وانتهت جميعها بالتعادل السلبي (0-0)، ليصبح الفريق الوحيد في الدوري حتى الآن بلا فوز، بلا خسارة، ودون تسجيل أو استقبال أي هدف.
ورغم حفاظه على سجله الخالي من الهزائم، إلا أن الفريق فقد 8 نقاط من أصل 12، ليحتل المركز الـ13 في جدول الترتيب.
ويقود غزل المحلة المدرب علاء عبدالعال، المعروف بأسلوبه الدفاعي وتحفّظه الهجومي، وهو ما انعكس بوضوح على أداء الفريق ونتائجه حتى الآن.

ويحمل الأهلي لقب النسخة الماضية من الدوري المصري الممتاز، كما يتربع على عرش قائمة الأكثر تتويجاً بالبطولة برصيد 45 لقباً، يليه الزمالك بـ14 لقباً، ثم الإسماعيلي بـ3 ألقاب، بينما تُوّج كل من الترسانة، غزل المحلة، الأولمبي، والمقاولون العرب بالبطولة مرة واحدة فقط.
