توعد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب اليوم (الإثنين) بالانتصار في الانتخابات وعلى إيران.
وكتب ترمب على منصته «تروث سوشيال»: «الديموقراطيون من اليسار يُصابون بالجنون بسبب استطلاعات الرأي المزيفة، إنهم ينشرونها بمستويات غير مسبوقة من قبل، ويُطلق عليها اسم «عمليات الإحباط»، إذ يحاولون إحباط الجمهوريين حتى لا يخرجوا للتصويت». وأشار إلى أن استطلاعات الرأي الحقيقية ممتازة، والروح المعنوية في بلادنا لم تكن يوماً بهذه القوة، مضيفاً: «نحن ننتصر على الجميع، بما في ذلك إيران، التي تمر بلادها بدوامة من الانهيار الاقتصادي والعسكري».
في غضون ذلك، قال مصدر مطلع على خطط وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية بشأن إيران إنه من المتوقع أن توسع الوزارة نطاق العقوبات الثانوية التي يمكنها فرضها على الكيانات والدول التي تربطها علاقات تجارية مع إيران، وذلك في إطار مساعي إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب لتكثيف الضغوط الاقتصادية على طهران.

في المقابل، قال رئيس البرلمان الإيراني محمد باقر قاليباف إنه بحث مع قائد الجيش الباكستاني المشير عاصم منير مواصلة جهود إسلام آباد لتعزيز السلام والأمن في المنطقة، موضحاً أنه استعرض مع قائد الجيش الباكستاني تنفيذ شروط مذكرة التفاهم. وذكر قاليباف أنه أبلغ منير أن إيران لن تتأثر بالضغوط الاقتصادية.
واتهم قاليباف الولايات المتحدة بالإخلال بالتزاماتها بموجب مذكرة التفاهم.
بدوره، أكد قائد الجيش الباكستاني لقاليباف أن «التزامات مذكرة التفاهم واضحة ويجب تنفيذها»، موضحاً أن باكستان ستواصل جهودها الرامية إلى إرساء الاستقرار في المنطقة.
وكانت وسائل إعلام عربية قالت إن ترمب أجرى اتصالاً هاتفياً بقائد الجيش الباكستاني عاصم منير الأسبوع الماضي لبحث ملف إيران واستئناف المفاوضات.

He noted that the real polls are excellent, and the morale in our country has never been this strong, adding: "We are winning against everyone, including Iran, which is going through a whirlwind of economic and military collapse."
Trump's posts came just hours after he confirmed that Iran is collapsing.
Meanwhile, a source familiar with the U.S. Treasury Department's plans regarding Iran stated that the department is expected to expand the scope of secondary sanctions it can impose on entities and countries that have trade relations with Iran, as part of President Donald Trump's administration's efforts to intensify economic pressure on Tehran.

In contrast, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that he discussed with Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir the continuation of Islamabad's efforts to promote peace and security in the region, explaining that he reviewed with the Pakistani Army Chief the implementation of the memorandum of understanding's conditions. Qalibaf mentioned that he informed Munir that Iran would not be affected by economic pressures.
Qalibaf accused the United States of violating its commitments under the memorandum of understanding.
For his part, the Pakistani Army Chief assured Qalibaf that "the commitments of the memorandum of understanding are clear and must be implemented," clarifying that Pakistan will continue its efforts to establish stability in the region.
Arab media reported that Trump made a phone call to Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir last week to discuss the Iran file and the resumption of negotiations.
