شدد الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي على أن أمن الكويت وسائر الدول العربية يعد جزءًا لا يتجزأ من الأمن القومي المصري، مشيرًا إلى الجهود الحثيثة التي تبذلها مصر لاحتواء التوتر الإقليمي وتسوية الأزمات عبر الوسائل السلمية.
وخلال اتصال هاتفي، اليوم (الثلاثاء) مع أمير الكويت الشيخ مشعل الأحمد الجابر الصباح، جدد السيسي إدانة مصر القاطعة للاعتداءات التي تعرضت لها دولة الكويت من قبل إيران، مؤكدًا أن تلك الاعتداءات تمثل انتهاكًا صارخًا للقانون الدولي وتصعيدًا خطيرًا يهدد أمن واستقرار المنطقة، ومشددًا على رفض مصر التام لأي محاولة للمساس بسيادة الكويت أو العبث بأمنها واستقرارها.
وأوضح متحدث الرئاسة المصرية السفير محمد الشناوي، أن السيسي أكد مجددًا تضامن مصر الكامل مع دولة الكويت، ووقوفها إلى جانبها في كل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية أمنها وصون مقدرات شعبها، مشيدًا بالقيادة الحكيمة لأمير دولة الكويت في إدارة الظروف الإقليمية الراهنة، وبحرص الكويت على تجنب التصعيد الإقليمي.
وأضاف أن أمير دولة الكويت ثمن موقف مصر الراسخ والداعم لأمن واستقرار الدول العربية، مؤكدًا أهمية مواصلة تعميق التشاور والتنسيق القائم بين مصر والكويت من أجل الحفاظ على السلم والاستقرار الإقليمي ومواجهة التحديات المشتركة.
كما أعرب أمير الكويت عن تقديره لمساندة مصر لبلاده في ظل الظرف الإقليمي الراهن، مثمنًا كذلك الجهود المصرية المبذولة لاحتواء التوتر الذي تشهده منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that the security of Kuwait and all Arab countries is an integral part of Egyptian national security, pointing to the diligent efforts made by Egypt to contain regional tensions and resolve crises through peaceful means.
During a phone call today (Tuesday) with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's firm condemnation of the attacks that Kuwait has faced from Iran, affirming that these attacks represent a blatant violation of international law and a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, stressing Egypt's complete rejection of any attempt to undermine Kuwait's sovereignty or tamper with its security and stability.
The Egyptian presidency spokesman, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, explained that El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with the State of Kuwait, standing by it in all measures it takes to protect its security and safeguard the interests of its people, praising the wise leadership of the Emir of Kuwait in managing the current regional circumstances, and Kuwait's commitment to avoiding regional escalation.
He added that the Emir of Kuwait appreciated Egypt's steadfast position in support of the security and stability of Arab countries, emphasizing the importance of continuing to deepen the existing consultation and coordination between Egypt and Kuwait to maintain regional peace and stability and address common challenges.
The Emir of Kuwait also expressed his appreciation for Egypt's support for his country in light of the current regional situation, valuing the Egyptian efforts made to contain the tensions experienced in the Middle East.
