أعلنت شرطة محافظة مأرب شمال شرق اليمن، ضبط شحنتين من المواد المخدرة كانتا في طريقهما إلى مناطق سيطرة مليشيا الحوثي في صنعاء، التي تستخدم تجارة المخدرات كأحد مصادر تمويل أنشطتها العسكرية.
وضبطت إحدى النقاط الأمنية التابعة لقوات الأمن الخاصة 104 آلاف حبة من مادة «البريجبالين»، فيما ضبطت نقطة أمنية أخرى أكثر من 1900 حبة كبتاجون إضافة إلى كيلوغرام من مادة الحشيش، قبل وصولها إلى وجهتها، بعد إخفائها بطرق تمويهية.
وبحسب موقع وزارة الدفاع اليمنية «سبتمبر نت»، أكد مصدر أمني، أن المضبوطات والمتهمين أحيلوا إلى الجهات المختصة لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية، مشيرا إلى استمرار ملاحقة شبكات التهريب المرتبطة بالمليشيا الحوثية ومنع وصول المواد المخدرة إلى مناطق سيطرتها.
وجددت الأجهزة الأمنية تأكيد استمرار جهودها في مكافحة تهريب وترويج المخدرات، وملاحقة الشبكات المرتبطة بجماعة الحوثي التي تسعى إلى نشر هذه المواد والإضرار بأمن المجتمع.
وأكدت مصادر أمنية ومحلية، أن تجارة المخدرات لم تعد تمثل مجرد نشاط إجرامي، بل تحولت إلى أحد التحديات الأمنية التي ترتبط بتمويل الصراعات، الأمر الذي يفرض تشديد الرقابة على خطوط التهريب، وتعزيز الإجراءات الأمنية في المحافظات الواقعة على مسارات العبور، لمنع وصول هذه الشحنات إلى وجهاتها النهائية وحماية المجتمع من آثارها المدمرة.
The police in Marib Governorate, northeastern Yemen, announced the seizure of two shipments of narcotic substances that were on their way to areas controlled by the Houthi militia in Sana'a, which uses drug trafficking as one of the sources of funding for its military activities.
One of the security checkpoints affiliated with the Special Security Forces seized 104,000 pills of the substance "pregabalin," while another security checkpoint seized more than 1,900 Captagon pills in addition to a kilogram of hashish, before they reached their destination, after being concealed in deceptive ways.
According to the Yemeni Ministry of Defense's website "September Net," a security source confirmed that the seized items and the suspects were referred to the relevant authorities to complete the legal procedures, noting the continued pursuit of smuggling networks linked to the Houthi militia and the prevention of narcotic substances from reaching areas under its control.
The security agencies reiterated their commitment to continue efforts in combating drug smuggling and trafficking, and pursuing networks linked to the Houthi group that seeks to spread these substances and harm community security.
Security and local sources confirmed that drug trafficking is no longer just a criminal activity, but has turned into one of the security challenges associated with funding conflicts, which necessitates tightening control over smuggling routes and enhancing security measures in the provinces located along transit paths, to prevent these shipments from reaching their final destinations and to protect the community from their devastating effects.
