أعرب الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي عن إدانته واستنكاره، بأشد العبارات، الاستهداف الإرهابي الحوثي، الذي تعرضت له السفينة (ENCELIA) التابعة لإحدى الشركات السعودية، مؤكداً أن هذا الاعتداء يمثل امتداداً للسلوك العدائي الذي تنتهجه المليشيا، وانتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي وقواعد حرية الملاحة البحرية.
وأكد أن استمرار المليشيا الحوثية في التهديد باستهداف السفن التجارية وتهديد خطوط الملاحة الدولية يعد تصعيداً خطيراً يهدد أمن واستقرار المنطقة، ويقوض الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى حماية الممرات البحرية وضمان انسيابية حركة التجارة العالمية، الأمر الذي يستوجب موقفاً دولياً حازماً لردع هذه الممارسات غير المسؤولة.
وشدد على تضامن مجلس التعاون الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ودعمه لكل ما تتخذه من إجراءات للحفاظ على أمنها وسلامة منشآتها ومصالحها الحيوية، مؤكداً أن أمن المملكة جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن دول مجلس التعاون.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms, of the Houthi terrorist targeting of the ship (ENCELIA) belonging to one of the Saudi companies, affirming that this attack represents an extension of the hostile behavior adopted by the militia and a blatant violation of international law and the rules of freedom of maritime navigation.
He emphasized that the continued threats by the Houthi militia to target commercial ships and threaten international shipping lines constitute a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, undermining international efforts aimed at protecting maritime corridors and ensuring the smooth flow of global trade, which necessitates a firm international stance to deter these irresponsible practices.
He stressed the full solidarity of the Gulf Cooperation Council with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to maintain its security and the safety of its facilities and vital interests, affirming that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
