دانت دولة قطر اليوم (الخميس)، بشدة استهداف مليشيا الحوثي سفينة سعودية أثناء إبحارها في البحر الأحمر.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية القطرية أن الهجوم «انتهاك خطير لسلامة الملاحة الدولية، وتهديد مباشر لأمن إمدادات الطاقة العالمية، وخرق واضح وصريح لقواعد القانون الدولي»، موضحة أن «استمرار هذه الاعتداءات المرفوضة يمثل تصعيداً خطيراً يهدد أمن واستقرار المنطقة والجهود الرامية إلى ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين».
وطالبت الوزارة المجتمع الدولي بالقيام بمسؤولياته تجاه تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة، وفي مقدمتها القرار 2216 بشأن اليمن، والقرار 2722 بشأن حقوق وحرية الملاحة في البحر الأحمر، مشددة على أن «حرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية الدولية تعد مبدأ جوهرياً من مبادئ القانون الدولي واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار لعام 1982».
وجددت الوزارة «تضامن دولة قطر الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ودعمها لكل ما تتخذه من إجراءات للحفاظ على سيادتها وأمنها ومصالحها»، مؤكدة أن أمن المملكة العربية السعودية جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن دولة قطر وأمن دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
من جهة أخرى، قالت وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية اليوم، إن هجمات الحوثيين على ناقلات النفط السعودية غير مسؤولة وتشكل تصعيداً خطيراً.
ودعا متحدث باسم الوزارة، الحوثيين لوقف الهجمات فوراً، مشدداً بالقول: «هذه الهجمات تمثل تصعيداً غير مسؤول وخطير».
وكان مصدر مسؤول في الهيئة العامة للنقل السعودية أعلن أن السفينة ENCELIA التابعة لإحدى الشركات السعودية تعرضت لاستهداف أثناء إبحارها في البحر الأحمر، ما أدى إلى اندلاع حريق في مقدمة السفينة.
Qatar strongly condemned today (Thursday) the targeting of a Saudi ship by the Houthi militia while it was sailing in the Red Sea.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the attack is a "serious violation of international navigation safety, a direct threat to global energy supply security, and a clear and blatant breach of international law," explaining that "the continuation of these unacceptable assaults represents a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and the efforts aimed at establishing regional security and stability."
The ministry called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities regarding the implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216 concerning Yemen, and Resolution 2722 regarding the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, emphasizing that "freedom of navigation in international waterways is a fundamental principle of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982."
The ministry reiterated "Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, and interests," affirming that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the State of Qatar and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
On another note, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today that the Houthi attacks on Saudi oil tankers are irresponsible and represent a serious escalation.
A spokesperson for the ministry urged the Houthis to immediately cease the attacks, stressing: "These attacks represent an irresponsible and dangerous escalation."
A responsible source in the Saudi Public Transport Authority announced that the ENCELIA ship, belonging to a Saudi company, was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea, resulting in a fire breaking out at the front of the ship.
