دان الأردن، اليوم (الخميس)، الهجوم الذي شنّته مليشيا الحوثي واستهدف سفينة سعودية أثناء عبورها البحر الأحمر.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الأردنية في بيان على حسابها في «إكس»، أن الهجوم انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار لعام 1982، وتهديد لأمن وسلامة الملاحة البحرية.
وأعلنت الوزارة رفض الأردن واستنكاره هذا الاعتداء، مؤكدة تضامن الأردن المطلق مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ووقوفه الكامل معها في كل ما تتخذه من خطوات لحماية أمنها واستقرارها ومقدّراتها.
وكان مصدر مسؤول في الهيئة العامة للنقل السعودية أعلن أن السفينة ENCELIA التابعة لإحدى الشركات السعودية تعرضت لاستهداف أثناء إبحارها في البحر الأحمر، ما أدى إلى اندلاع حريق في مقدمة السفينة.
وأكد المصدر، في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء السعودية (واس)، سلامة جميع أفراد الطاقم، واتخاذ الجهات المختصة جميع الإجراءات اللازمة لتأمين السفينة وطاقمها وحماية البيئة البحرية، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الاعتداءات تمثل انتهاكاً للقوانين والأعراف الدولية التي تكفل سلامة السفن التجارية وطواقمها.
Jordan condemned today (Thursday) the attack launched by the Houthi militia that targeted a Saudi ship while it was crossing the Red Sea.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed in a statement on its "X" account that the attack is a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982, and a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation.
The ministry announced Jordan's rejection and condemnation of this aggression, affirming Jordan's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its complete support for all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and resources.
A responsible source at the Saudi Public Transport Authority announced that the ENCELIA ship, belonging to a Saudi company, was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea, resulting in a fire breaking out at the front of the ship.
The source confirmed, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the safety of all crew members, and that the relevant authorities have taken all necessary measures to secure the ship and its crew and protect the marine environment, pointing out that these attacks represent a violation of international laws and norms that guarantee the safety of commercial ships and their crews.
