في تصعيد متواصل للمواجهات بولاية شمال كردفان في السودان، استهدفت قوات الدعم السريع بالطائرات المسيرة مدينة الرهد ومناطق شرقي مدينة الأُبيِّض عاصمة الولاية، بحسب ما أكد شهود عيان، اليوم الأحد.
وجاءت تلك الهجمات بعد ساعات من إعلان الجيش السوداني تنفيذ غارات بالطيران المسيّر على قوات للدعم السريع بمنطقة سودري شمال غربي الأُبيِّض، قال إنها دمرت آليات قتالية كانت في طريقها لتعزيز محاور القتال حول المدينة، التي تشهد تصاعداً لافتاً في وتيرة الهجمات بالمسيرات.
وكثفت قوات الدعم السريع خلال الأشهر الماضية من الاعتماد على الطائرات المسيرة في تنفيذ هجمات على منشآت مدنية وعسكرية بمناطق متفرقة من السودان. وشملت الهجمات مدناً ومرافق خدمية وبنى تحتية حيوية ما أدى لسقوط ضحايا من المدنيين وإلحاق أضرار مادية واسعة.
واستمرت القوات التي يتزعمها محمد حمدان دقلو(حميدتي) في تنفيذ هجمات متكررة على مدينة الأُبيِّض وعدد من مدن إقليم كردفان إلى جانب محاولات متقطعة لاستهداف مواقع داخل العاصمة الخرطوم.
وارتفعت وتيرة الهجمات بالمسيرات في الأشهر الأخيرة، إذ أشارت تقديرات الأمم المتحدة إلى أن ما لا يقل عن 880 مدنياً قُتلوا بسببها في أنحاء البلاد بين مطلع العام الحالي 2026 وأبريل. وخلّفت الحرب التي دخلت عامها الرابع عشرات الآلاف من القتلى، وسط تقديرات تشير إلى تجاوز الحصيلة 200 ألف قتيل، وتشريد الملايين داخل البلاد وخارجها، وانتشار المجاعة في بعض المناطق بدارفور وكردفان، وفقاً لإحصاء أعدته وكالة «فرانس برس».
In a continuous escalation of confrontations in North Kordofan State, Sudan, the Rapid Support Forces targeted the city of Al-Rahad and areas east of the city of Al-Obeid, the state capital, using drones, according to eyewitnesses who confirmed this on Sunday.
These attacks came hours after the Sudanese army announced it had carried out drone strikes on Rapid Support Forces in the Sudri area northwest of Al-Obeid, claiming that it destroyed combat vehicles that were on their way to reinforce combat fronts around the city, which has seen a notable increase in the frequency of drone attacks.
The Rapid Support Forces have intensified their reliance on drones over the past months to carry out attacks on civilian and military facilities in various regions of Sudan. The attacks have targeted cities, service facilities, and vital infrastructure, resulting in casualties among civilians and extensive material damage.
The forces led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti) have continued to carry out repeated attacks on the city of Al-Obeid and several cities in the Kordofan region, alongside intermittent attempts to target sites within the capital, Khartoum.
The frequency of drone attacks has increased in recent months, with United Nations estimates indicating that at least 880 civilians have been killed due to these attacks across the country between the beginning of this year and April. The war, which has entered its fourteenth year, has left tens of thousands dead, with estimates suggesting the death toll exceeds 200,000, displacing millions both within and outside the country, and leading to famine in some areas of Darfur and Kordofan, according to a report prepared by the French news agency.
