أعرب الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون اليوم (الأربعاء) عن شكره لولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان على قراره استئناف استيراد المنتجات اللبنانية.
ونقل حساب الرئاسة اللبنانية على منصة «إكس» عن الرئيس قوله: «أعرب عن بالغ امتناني وتقديري لولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، على قراره باستئناف استيراد المنتجات اللبنانية إلى المملكة، والذي يُعد تعبيراً صادقاً عن عمق الأخوة العربية التي تجمع البلدين الشقيقين، وتجسيداً لحرص القيادة السعودية الرشيدة على دعم لبنان وشعبه في مرحلة النهوض والتعافي التي يخوضها».
وشدد الرئيس اللبناني على أن هذه الخطوة ستسهم بشكل ملموس في إنعاش الاقتصاد الوطني ودعم شرائح واسعة من المنتجين والمصدرين اللبنانيين، مؤكداً أن الشعب اللبناني بأسره يحمل لهذا القرار عميق الشكر والتقدير، وينظر إليه بوصفه بادرة تعزز مسيرة العلاقات اللبنانية - السعودية المتجذرة في روابط التاريخ والمصير المشترك.
وكان ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان قد وجّه اليوم باستئناف الصادرات اللبنانية إلى المملكة، وذلك بناءً على طلب الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون ورئيس مجلس الوزراء نواف سلام.
ويأتي التوجيه بناءً على الخطوات الإيجابية التي قامت بها الحكومة اللبنانية في طريق إعادة بناء مؤسسات الدولة، وما أنجزته الفرق المختصة طوال العام الماضي، وما أبداه الجانب اللبناني من تعاون وتقديمه التعهدات المطلوبة.
وأكد وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، خلال اتصال هاتفي برئيس الوزراء اللبناني، دعم المملكة لاستقرار لبنان وسيادته على كامل أراضيه ورفاهية شعبه الشقيق، وثقته باتخاذ الأشقاء في لبنان جميع التدابير اللازمة لضمان عدم استخدام لبنان منصة للإضرار بأشقائه.
The Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude today (Wednesday) to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for his decision to resume the import of Lebanese products.
The Lebanese presidency's account on the platform "X" quoted the president as saying: "I express my deep gratitude and appreciation to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for his decision to resume the import of Lebanese products to the Kingdom, which is a sincere expression of the deep Arab brotherhood that unites the two brotherly countries, and a manifestation of the wise Saudi leadership's commitment to support Lebanon and its people during this phase of recovery and revival."
The Lebanese president emphasized that this step will significantly contribute to revitalizing the national economy and supporting a wide range of Lebanese producers and exporters, affirming that the entire Lebanese people hold deep gratitude and appreciation for this decision, viewing it as a gesture that enhances the rooted Lebanese-Saudi relations based on historical ties and shared destiny.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman had directed today to resume Lebanese exports to the Kingdom, based on a request from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
This directive comes in light of the positive steps taken by the Lebanese government towards rebuilding state institutions, the achievements made by the specialized teams throughout the past year, and the cooperation shown by the Lebanese side in providing the required commitments.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan confirmed, during a phone call with the Lebanese Prime Minister, the Kingdom's support for Lebanon's stability and sovereignty over its entire territory and the welfare of its brotherly people, expressing confidence that the brothers in Lebanon will take all necessary measures to ensure that Lebanon is not used as a platform to harm its brothers.
