أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، عن خسائرها البشرية في حرب الـ40 يوماً مع إيران، مؤكدة مقتل 13 من أفراد الخدمة الأمريكية.
ونقلت صحيفة «نيويورك تايمز» عن المتحدث باسم القيادة المركزية تيم هوكينز قوله إن جميع أفراد الخدمة الأمريكيين المصابين في حرب إيران البالغ عددهم 381 عادوا إلى الخدمة باستثناء 37، وذلك مع إعلان «البنتاغون» تعليق الحرب ضد إيران، مضيفاً أن 3 من المصابين داخل المستشفيات في حالة خطيرة، و13 من أفراد الخدمة الأمريكيين لقوا حتفهم خلال الحرب.
ورغم الهدنة إلا أن وسائل إعلام إيرانية ذكرت أنه جرى تفعيل الدفاعات الجوية في عدة مدن إيرانية منها طهران وأصفهان وكرمان، فيما سُمع دوي انفجار في العاصمة الإيرانية.
ونقل التلفزيون الإيراني عن الحرس الثوري أنه استهدف مسيّرة إسرائيلية الصنع من طراز «هرميس» وأسقطها، وكانت المسيّرة تحلّق فوق مدينة لار في جنوب البلاد، معتبراً أن دخول أي نوع من الطائرات الأمريكية أو الإسرائيلية في أجواء إيران حتى من دون تنفيذ عمليات عسكرية، يعدّ انتهاكاً لوقف إطلاق النار سيُرد عليه بحزم.
من جهة أخرى، نقلت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» عن مسؤولين في الإدارة الأمريكية، أن الرئيس ترمب يدرس خطة لمعاقبة بعض أعضاء حلف شمال الأطلسي (ناتو) الذين يعتقد أنهم لم يقدموا الدعم الكافي للولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل خلال الحرب على إيران.
وأوضحت الصحيفة أن المقترح يتضمن سحب القوات الأمريكية من دول بالحلف تعدها واشنطن غير متعاونة في حربها على إيران، ونشرها في دول قدمت دعماً أكبر للحملة العسكرية الأمريكية.
The U.S. Central Command announced today (Wednesday) its human losses in the 40-day war with Iran, confirming the death of 13 American service members.
The New York Times reported that Central Command spokesman Tim Hawkins stated that all 381 American service members injured in the Iran war have returned to duty, except for 37, coinciding with the Pentagon's announcement to suspend the war against Iran. He added that 3 of the injured are in critical condition in hospitals, and 13 American service members lost their lives during the war.
Despite the ceasefire, Iranian media reported that air defenses have been activated in several Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, and Kerman, while an explosion was heard in the Iranian capital.
Iranian television reported that the Revolutionary Guard targeted and shot down an Israeli-made drone of the type "Hermes," which was flying over the city of Lar in the south of the country, considering that the entry of any type of American or Israeli aircraft into Iranian airspace, even without conducting military operations, constitutes a violation of the ceasefire that will be responded to firmly.
On another note, the Wall Street Journal quoted U.S. administration officials as saying that President Trump is considering a plan to punish some NATO members who are believed to have not provided sufficient support to the United States and Israel during the war on Iran.
The newspaper explained that the proposal includes withdrawing American forces from countries in the alliance that Washington considers uncooperative in its war on Iran and redeploying them to countries that have provided greater support for the U.S. military campaign.
