فيما تدخل الحرب أسبوعها الثاني، أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (السبت)، إغراق 42 سفينة إيرانية في 3 أيام، مؤكداً أن بلاده حققت نتائج أكثر مما كان مخططاً له في إيران.
وقال ترمب خلال كلمة في فلوريدا إن الهجوم الأمريكي الإسرائيلي على إيران حقق نتائج أكبر من المخططة، موضحاً أن «النظام الإيراني تسبب في الكثير من القتل».
وهاجم الرئيس الأمريكي النظام الإيراني، مضيفاً: «نستخدم جيشنا ضد إيران ونبلي بلاء حسناً».
ولفت إلى أن إيران كانت قريبة جداً من الحصول على السلاح النووي لو لم تنفذ أمريكا ضرباتها.
وتعهد الرئيس الأمريكي بالعمل على تقليص عدد القتلى الأمريكيين في الحرب، وذلك في محاولة لتهدئة الشارع الأمريكي.
وأشار إلى أنه قضى على شبكة الاتصالات في إيران، معتبراً أن القوات الأمريكية «تقوم بعمل جيد في إيران».
وكان ترمب قد قال في وقت سابق إن إيران تتعرض لهزيمة ساحقة، مهدداً بتوجيه ضربة قوية للغاية اليوم لإيران.
يأتي ذلك في الوقت الذي أعلنت فيه الخارجية الأمريكية إجلاء أكثر من 28 ألف أمريكي من منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وإعادتهم إلى الولايات المتحدة، خلال الفترة من 28 فبراير الماضي وحتى السبت، بالتزامن مع الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن هذا العدد لا يشمل الأمريكيين الذين تم نقلهم إلى دول أخرى، أو أولئك الذين غادروا الشرق الأوسط لكنهم ما زالوا في طريق العودة إلى الولايات المتحدة.
As the war enters its second week, U.S. President Donald Trump announced today (Saturday) the sinking of 42 Iranian ships in 3 days, confirming that his country has achieved results beyond what was planned in Iran.
Trump stated during a speech in Florida that the U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran has yielded greater results than anticipated, explaining that "the Iranian regime has caused a lot of killing."
The U.S. President criticized the Iranian regime, adding, "We are using our military against Iran and we are doing well."
He pointed out that Iran was very close to obtaining nuclear weapons if the U.S. had not carried out its strikes.
Trump pledged to work on reducing the number of American casualties in the war, in an attempt to calm the American public.
He noted that he has eliminated the communication network in Iran, considering that U.S. forces are "doing a good job in Iran."
Earlier, Trump had stated that Iran is facing a crushing defeat, threatening to deliver a very strong blow to Iran today.
This comes at a time when the U.S. State Department announced the evacuation of more than 28,000 Americans from the Middle East, returning them to the United States, during the period from February 28 until Saturday, coinciding with the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
The department clarified that this number does not include Americans who were transferred to other countries, or those who left the Middle East but are still on their way back to the United States.
