لقي أربعة أشخاص مصرعهم، الثلاثاء، في هجوم طعن مروّع قرب مدينة تاكوما بولاية واشنطن الأمريكية، فيما قُتل المشتبه به برصاص الشرطة، وفق ما أوردته أسوشييتد برس.
الحادثة بدأت بسلسلة بلاغات عن رجل يعتدي على أشخاص بسلاح أبيض خارج أحد المنازل، قبل أن تتصاعد الأحداث خلال دقائق إلى مشهد دموي.

وأوضح مكتب شرطة مقاطعة بيرس أن عناصره تلقوا في البداية بلاغاً بشأن رجل يبلغ 32 عاماً يُشتبه في مخالفته أمراً قضائياً يمنعه من التواصل مع طرف آخر.
وبعد مراجعة الوثائق، تبيّن أن الأمر القضائي غير ساري المفعول لعدم تسليمه رسمياً للمشتبه به، ما دفع العناصر إلى التوجه إلى الموقع لإخطاره به.
دقائق حاسمة
وأثناء تحرك الشرطة، وردت بلاغات إضافية تؤكد أن الرجل شرع في طعن عدد من الأشخاص في المكان ذاته.
وعند وصول القوات بعد وقت قصير، أطلقت النار على المشتبه به وأردته قتيلاً. كما عُثر على ثلاثة ضحايا فارقوا الحياة في موقع الحادثة، فيما توفي رابع متأثراً بجراحه أثناء نقله إلى المستشفى.

The incident began with a series of reports about a man attacking people with a knife outside a home, before escalating within minutes into a bloody scene.
Legal Background
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office explained that its officers initially received a report about a 32-year-old man suspected of violating a court order prohibiting him from contacting another party.
After reviewing the documents, it became clear that the court order was not in effect due to not being formally served to the suspect, prompting the officers to head to the location to inform him.
Critical Minutes
As the police were responding, additional reports confirmed that the man had begun stabbing several people in the same location.
When the officers arrived shortly after, they shot the suspect dead. Three victims were found dead at the scene, while a fourth died from his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
