أكد رئيس الوزراء السوداني كامل إدريس، اليوم (الإثنين)، حرص حكومته على إحلال السلام والاستقرار في البلاد، موضحاً أن مبادرته التي طرحها سابقاً أمام مجلس الأمن الدولي هي الأساس لإنهاء الحرب.
وقال إدريس، في مؤتمر صحفي في الخرطوم عقب مشاركته في «مؤتمر ميونيخ للأمن»: «لدينا نحن أهل السودان مبادرة وطنية بملكية سودانية خالصة، وحظيت بدعم كبير داخلياً وخارجياً»، موضحاً أن مبادرته تركز في الأساس على وحدة البلاد وسيادة حكم القانون وحماية المدنيين.
وأعرب رئيس الحكومة السودانية عن ترحيبه بكل الأفكار والمبادرات التي تأتي من بقاع العالم، مبيناً أن الحرب التي تشنها قوات الدعم السريع على البلاد بدعم خارجي واسع، تشكل تهديداً وجودياً لدولة السودان.
ولفت إلى أن القوات المسلحة «تصدت بجسارة لهذه المؤامرة وحققت بالفعل انتصارات بتطهير أجزاء واسعة في البلاد من التمرد»، مضيفاً: «نحن دعاة سلام ولسنا دعاة حرب، بل الحرب قد فُرضت علينا، وشرحنا بالتفصيل مقترحاتنا بشأن وقف الحرب».
وأشاد رئيس الوزراء السوداني بالتعاون الثلاثي بقيادة ولي العهد السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان والرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب والرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي، لجهودهم من أجل إنهاء النزاع في السودان.
وكان رئيس الحكومة السودانية قد قدم لمجلس الأمن الدولي في ديسمبر الماضي «مبادرة السودان للسلام» التي تنصّ على انسحاب «قوات الدعم السريع» من كل المناطق التي تحتلها بالتزامن مع وقف لإطلاق النار تحت رقابة مشتركة بين الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأفريقي وجامعة الدول العربية.
The Sudanese Prime Minister, Kamel Idris, confirmed today (Monday) his government's commitment to achieving peace and stability in the country, explaining that the initiative he previously presented to the United Nations Security Council is the foundation for ending the war.
Idris stated in a press conference in Khartoum following his participation in the "Munich Security Conference": "We, the people of Sudan, have a national initiative that is purely Sudanese-owned, and it has received significant support both domestically and internationally," clarifying that his initiative primarily focuses on the unity of the country, the sovereignty of the rule of law, and the protection of civilians.
The Sudanese Prime Minister expressed his welcome to all ideas and initiatives coming from around the world, indicating that the war waged by the Rapid Support Forces against the country, with extensive external support, poses an existential threat to the state of Sudan.
He pointed out that the armed forces "bravely confronted this conspiracy and have indeed achieved victories by purging large areas of the country from rebellion," adding: "We are advocates of peace, not advocates of war; rather, the war has been imposed upon us, and we have detailed our proposals regarding the cessation of hostilities."
The Sudanese Prime Minister praised the trilateral cooperation led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for their efforts to end the conflict in Sudan.
Last December, the Sudanese Prime Minister presented to the United Nations Security Council the "Sudan Peace Initiative," which stipulates the withdrawal of the "Rapid Support Forces" from all areas they occupy, simultaneously with a ceasefire monitored jointly by the United Nations, the African Union, and the Arab League.
