ناقش وزيرا خارجية السعودية ومصر الاستعدادات الجارية لعقد اجتماع مجلس السلام المرتقب في واشنطن، وأكدا أهمية استمرار التنسيق العربي والإسلامي في هذا الإطار، بما يدعم جهود تثبيت التهدئة وتحقيق الامن والاستقرار الاقليمى.
وبحسب بيان رسمي صادر عن وزارة الخارجية المصرية، أمس (السبت) جرى اتصال هاتفي بين وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج الدكتور بدر عبدالعاطي، ووزير خارجية المملكة العربية السعودية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، في إطار التشاور والتنسيق المستمر بين البلدين الشقيقين.
الاتصال تناول التطورات المرتبطة بأمن البحر الأحمر، وأكد الوزيران أهمية تعزيز التنسيق بين الدول المشاطئة للحفاظ على أمن واستقرار هذا الممر البحري الحيوي وضمان حرية الملاحة والتجارة الدولية.
وشدد الوزير عبدالعاطي في هذا الصدد على ثوابت الموقف المصري بضرورة قصر ترتيبات حوكمة البحر الأحمر على الدول المطلة عليه، ورفض أي محاولات لفرض أدوار خارجية في إدارته، بما يسهم في دعم استقرار المنطقة وحماية حركة التجارة العالمية.
كما تناول الاتصال العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وأكد الوزيران قوة الروابط الأخوية التي تجمع مصر والمملكة، والحرص المتبادل على مواصلة تطوير مجالات التعاون القائمة والبناء على الزخم الإيجابي الذي تشهده العلاقات، بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
وتبادل الوزيران الرؤى إزاء التطورات الإقليمية، وشددا على أولوية خفض التصعيد واحتواء التوترات في المنطقة، وتكثيف الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق التهدئة، وتغليب المسارات السياسية والدبلوماسية لمعالجة الأزمات الإقليمية، بما يسهم في الحفاظ على أمن واستقرار المنطقة.
وتطرق الاتصال إلى تطورات الأوضاع في قطاع غزة، وأكد الجانبان ضرورة تنفيذ استحقاقات المرحلة الثانية من خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، ودعم اللجنة الوطنية لإدارة قطاع غزة، وسرعة نشر قوة الاستقرار الدولية لمراقبة تنفيذ وقف إطلاق النار، وضمان النفاذ الكامل للمساعدات الإنسانية، والتمهيد لمرحلة التعافي المبكر وإعادة الإعمار، بما يحفظ وحدة الأراضي الفلسطينية.
وفي ما يتعلق بالأوضاع في السودان، أكد الجانبان ضرورة تكثيف الجهود للتوصل إلى هدنة إنسانية تمهيداً لوقف شامل لإطلاق النار، وإطلاق عملية سياسية سودانية ذات ملكية وطنية خالصة، مع الحفاظ على وحدة السودان وسلامة أراضيه ومؤسساته الوطنية.
The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Egypt discussed the ongoing preparations for the anticipated Peace Council meeting in Washington, emphasizing the importance of continued Arab and Islamic coordination in this framework, which supports efforts to establish calm and achieve regional security and stability.
According to an official statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday (Saturday), a phone call took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, as part of the ongoing consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.
The call addressed developments related to the security of the Red Sea, and the two ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination among the bordering countries to maintain the security and stability of this vital maritime corridor and to ensure freedom of navigation and international trade.
Minister Abdel Aty stressed, in this regard, the constants of the Egyptian position regarding the necessity of limiting the governance arrangements of the Red Sea to the countries bordering it, rejecting any attempts to impose external roles in its management, which contributes to supporting the stability of the region and protecting global trade movement.
The call also discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the ministers affirmed the strength of the fraternal ties that unite Egypt and the Kingdom, as well as the mutual commitment to continue developing existing areas of cooperation and building on the positive momentum witnessed in the relations, in a way that achieves the common interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
The two ministers exchanged views regarding regional developments, stressing the priority of de-escalation and containing tensions in the region, and intensifying efforts aimed at achieving calm, favoring political and diplomatic pathways to address regional crises, which contributes to maintaining the security and stability of the region.
The call also touched upon the developments in the Gaza Strip, with both sides affirming the necessity of implementing the requirements of the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, supporting the National Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip, and the swift deployment of an international stability force to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire, ensuring full access to humanitarian aid, and paving the way for early recovery and reconstruction, in a manner that preserves the unity of the Palestinian territories.
Regarding the situation in Sudan, both sides emphasized the need to intensify efforts to reach a humanitarian truce in preparation for a comprehensive ceasefire, and to launch a purely national Sudanese political process, while maintaining the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territory and national institutions.
