وسط إجراءات أمنية مشددة، تم تشييع اليوم (الجمعة)، سيف الإسلام القذافي في مدينة بني وليد جنوب العاصمة الليبية طربلس.
وحظرت الأجهزة الأمنية رفع صوره أو أي شعارات مرتبطة به، أو التعبير العلني عن الحزن.
وأكد عبدالله عثمان، رئيس الفريق السياسي لسيف الإسلام القذافي، أن عدة أطراف مستفيدة من قتل سيف الإسلام، معرباً عن ثقة الفريق بالقضاء الليبي.
وقال عثمان: «نعتقد أن القضاء الليبي قادر على الوصول للجناة، وقادر على كشف ملابسات الجريمة، ولكن إذا لم يحدث، وإذا خضع لتأثيرات أخرى، فتنتفي ولاية القضاء المحلي، وربما يتم التفكير (بالتحقيق الدولي)، لكن سيف الإسلام، عندما كان حياً، لم يكن مؤمناً بدور للقضاء الدولي، كان دائماً عنده قناعة تامة، بالقضاء الليبي».
وذكر رئيس الفريق الحقوقي أن الذين منعوا الانتخابات النيابية والرئاسية في 2021، هم الأطراف المستفيدة، أو الراغبة في تغييب سيف الإسلام، لأنها ترفض الشعبية المتنامية لسيف، بعضها حنيناً للنظام السابق، وبعضها اقتناعاً بالنظام السابق، وبعضهم سيصوتون تصويتاً عقابياً، بسبب فشل السياسات الحالية، التي أدت لتقسيم المؤسسات.
وشدد الفريق الحقوقي لسيف الإسلام القذافي على أنه لا يعتد بأي اتهامات لا تستند لتحقيق قضائي، رافضاً ربط العقيد العجمي بالجريمة معتبراً أنه ادعاء باطل.
واعتبر الفريق الحقوقي إطلاق اتهامات دون أدلة قاطعة هو إخلال خطير.
وتُعدّ بني وليد التي يبلغ عدد سكانها 100 ألف نسمة معقل قبيلة الورفلة التي لا تزال تُحيي ذكرى معمر القذافي منذ الإطاحة به عام 2011.
Amid tight security measures, the funeral of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was held today (Friday) in the city of Bani Walid, south of the Libyan capital Tripoli.
The security forces prohibited the display of his images or any slogans associated with him, or any public expression of grief.
Abdullah Othman, the head of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi's political team, confirmed that several parties benefit from Saif al-Islam's death, expressing the team's confidence in the Libyan judiciary.
Othman stated: "We believe that the Libyan judiciary is capable of reaching the perpetrators and uncovering the circumstances of the crime, but if that does not happen, and if it is subjected to other influences, then the jurisdiction of the local judiciary is negated, and perhaps consideration will be given to (an international investigation). However, Saif al-Islam, when he was alive, did not believe in the role of international judiciary; he always had complete confidence in the Libyan judiciary."
The head of the human rights team mentioned that those who prevented the parliamentary and presidential elections in 2021 are the benefiting parties, or those wishing to marginalize Saif al-Islam, as they reject his growing popularity. Some do so out of nostalgia for the previous regime, some out of conviction in the previous regime, and some will vote as a form of punishment due to the failures of the current policies, which have led to the division of institutions.
The human rights team for Saif al-Islam Gaddafi emphasized that it does not recognize any accusations that are not based on a judicial investigation, rejecting the connection of Colonel al-Ajami to the crime, considering it a baseless claim.
The human rights team considered that making accusations without conclusive evidence is a serious violation.
Bani Walid, with a population of 100,000, is considered the stronghold of the Warfalla tribe, which continues to commemorate Muammar Gaddafi since his overthrow in 2011.
