هاجم محتجون موالون لقوات سورية الديمقراطية «قسد»، مقر الأمم المتحدة في مدينة القامشلي، ردا على ما تزعمه بصمت المجتمع الدولي على العملية العسكرية التي نفذها الجيش السوري ضد مسلحيها داخل حيي الأشرفية والشيخ مقصود في حلب، والتي أسفرت عن إجلاء عناصرها ونقلهم إلى مناطق شمال شرقي سورية.
وحاول بعض عناصر قسد اقتحام المبنى بعد تحطيم كاميرات المراقبة ورشقه بالحجارة، ما تسبب بأضرار مادية في الأبواب والنوافذ، وفق ما نقلت وكالة «د ب أ».
وأعلن أحد موظفي الأمم المتحدة، مساء أمس (الأحد)، أن فريق الأمن الخاص بالمقر تواصل مع قوات الأسايش الكردية التي أرسلت دوريات وفرضت طوقاً أمنياً، وأبعدت المحتجين عن البناء، بحسب ما أفاد تلفزيون سورية. ولفت إلى أن الهجوم تسبب بعدم قدرة بعض الموظفين على الخروج أو الدخول للبناء خوفاً من تعرضهم لهجمات من قبل المحتجين.
وصادرت وحدات الأمن الداخلي في محافظة حلب شمال سورية، أمس مستودعات ضخمة تحتوي على كميات كبيرة من الأسلحة المتنوعة تعود لقوات قسد، خلال عمليات المسح الأمني الميدانية في حي الشيخ مقصود. وذكرت وزارة الداخلية أن المضبوطات شملت ألغاماً أرضية وعبوات ناسفة وصواريخ وقذائف وقنابل، إلى جانب كميات كبيرة ومتنوعة من الذخائر، ما يشكل تهديداً مباشراً للأمن العام وسلامة المواطنين في المنطقة، وفقاً لقناة الإخبارية السورية.
وأفادت وزارة الداخلية بأن الفرق الهندسية المختصة تمكنت من تفكيك عدد من المواد المتفجرة المجهزة للاستخدام في أعمال إرهابية، وذلك خلال عمليات المسح الأمني في حي الشيخ مقصود.
يذكر أن الاشتباكات التي اندلعت الثلاثاء الماضي بين القوات السورية وقسد في حيي الشيخ مقصود والأشرفية اللذين تقطنهما أغلبية كردية في حلب، كانت توقفت صباح أمس إثر اتفاق بوساطة دولية على خروج المقاتلين الأكراد من المدينة بعد تسليم أسلحتهم.
وتسببت المواجهات في مقتل 24 شخصا وإصابة 129 بجروح، وفق ما نقلت وكالة «سانا» الرسمية عن مدير الصحة في حلب.
Protesters loyal to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) attacked the United Nations headquarters in the city of Qamishli, in response to what they claim is the silence of the international community regarding the military operation carried out by the Syrian army against its militants in the neighborhoods of Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud in Aleppo, which resulted in the evacuation of its members and their transfer to areas in northeastern Syria.
Some SDF members attempted to storm the building after smashing surveillance cameras and throwing stones, causing material damage to the doors and windows, according to the DPA news agency.
A United Nations employee announced last night (Sunday) that the security team at the headquarters contacted the Kurdish Asayish forces, which sent patrols and imposed a security cordon, pushing the protesters away from the building, as reported by Syrian television. He noted that the attack prevented some employees from entering or exiting the building for fear of being attacked by the protesters.
The internal security units in Aleppo province in northern Syria seized large warehouses yesterday containing significant amounts of various weapons belonging to the SDF during security sweep operations in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood. The Ministry of Interior stated that the confiscated items included landmines, explosive devices, rockets, shells, and bombs, in addition to large and varied quantities of ammunition, which pose a direct threat to public security and the safety of citizens in the area, according to the Syrian News Channel.
The Ministry of Interior reported that specialized engineering teams managed to dismantle several explosive materials prepared for use in terrorist acts during the security sweep operations in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.
It is worth mentioning that the clashes that erupted last Tuesday between the Syrian forces and the SDF in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, which have a Kurdish majority in Aleppo, ceased yesterday morning following an international mediation agreement for the Kurdish fighters to leave the city after surrendering their weapons.
The confrontations resulted in the deaths of 24 people and injuries to 129, according to the official SANA news agency, citing the health director in Aleppo.
