توفي طفل رضيع فلسطيني اليوم (الخميس)، نتيجة البرد القارس في مواصي خان يونس جنوب قطاع غزة، وبحسب مصادر طبية فإن عدد الوفيات التي وصلت المستشفيات نتيجة المنخفض الجوي والبرد الشديد في قطاع غزة ارتفع إلى 13.
ويشهد قطاع غزة وضعاً إنسانياً خطيراً في ظل ما يعيشه الأطفال النازحون في خيام ضعيفة وغير مؤهلة لمواجهة الطقس البارد، وانعدام المأوى والعلاج، ووسائل التدفئة.
وحذرت الأمم المتحدة من أن العمليات الإنسانية في الأراضي الفلسطينية، وخصوصاً في غزة، معرضة لخطر الانهيار إذا لم تقم إسرائيل بإزالة العراقيل التي تشمل عمليات تسجيل «إشكالية وتعسفية ومسيسة للغاية».
وذكرت أكثر من 200 منظمة إغاثة محلية ودولية في بيان مشترك، أن العشرات من منظمات الإغاثة الدولية معرضة لإلغاء تسجيلها بحلول 31 ديسمبر، مما يعني أن عليها إغلاق عملياتها في غضون 60 يوماً، مبينة أن لإلغاء تسجيل المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية (منظمات الإغاثة الدولية) في غزة سيكون له تأثير كارثي على إتاحة الخدمات الأساسية والضرورية.
وتدعم المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية غالبية المستشفيات الميدانية، ومراكز الرعاية الصحية الأساسية، وتتولى الاستجابة للطلبات العاجلة لتوفير المأوى، وخدمات المياه والصرف الصحي، والمراكز المعنية بضمان استقرار التغذية للأطفال الذين يعانون من سوء التغذية الحاد، والأنشطة الحرجة المتعلقة بالتعامل مع الألغام.
A Palestinian infant died today (Thursday) due to the severe cold in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. According to medical sources, the number of deaths that have reached hospitals as a result of the weather system and the extreme cold in the Gaza Strip has risen to 13.
The Gaza Strip is experiencing a dire humanitarian situation, especially for displaced children living in weak tents that are unfit to withstand the cold weather, along with a lack of shelter, medical care, and heating facilities.
The United Nations has warned that humanitarian operations in the Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza, are at risk of collapse if Israel does not remove the obstacles that include "problematic, arbitrary, and highly politicized" registration processes.
More than 200 local and international relief organizations stated in a joint statement that dozens of international relief organizations are at risk of having their registrations canceled by December 31, which means they will have to close their operations within 60 days. They indicated that the cancellation of the registration of international non-governmental organizations (international relief organizations) in Gaza would have a catastrophic impact on the availability of essential and necessary services.
International non-governmental organizations support the majority of field hospitals, primary healthcare centers, and respond to urgent requests for shelter, water and sanitation services, and centers aimed at ensuring nutritional stability for children suffering from acute malnutrition, as well as critical activities related to dealing with landmines.
