الموت يغيب عمر يحيى

Dr. Omar Yahya Muhammad, a history professor at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, passed away yesterday (Friday). He was an academic and media figure with a rich career in journalism, having served as the editor-in-chief of the magazine Iqra. He was buried in Al-Faisaliah Cemetery after the prayer was held for him.

The deceased is the brother of Muhammad, Adel, and Fouad, and the uncle of colleague Abdullah Al-Abdali.

Condolences for men will be accepted on (Saturday) only at his home in Al-Safa neighborhood in Jeddah.

“Okaz,” which is saddened by the news, extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, asking God to envelop him in His vast mercy and grant him a place in His spacious gardens. Indeed, we belong to God and indeed to Him we shall return.
