On a sad day, Jazan bid farewell to one of its media icons, the former General Supervisor of the General Administration of Communication and Media at Jazan University and the former director of Al-Watan newspaper's office in the Jazan region, the poet and writer Musa bin Yahya Muhraq, who passed away during his last journey in the United States of America.

The body of the deceased arrived at King Abdullah Airport in the Jazan region, where he was received by his family, relatives, and a large number of his colleagues, friends, and admirers.

The prayer for the deceased was held last night (Saturday) at Al-Fayyad Mosque in Al-Dhabiyah in the Sabya governorate, attended by the President of Jazan University, Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasain, a number of faculty members, university staff, the family and relatives of the deceased, and local residents and media colleagues.

A large crowd of mourners attended the funeral of the late Muhraq in his hometown at the Southern Al-Dhabiyah cemetery, and his family received condolences and sympathy at the condolence council on Al-Hizam Road, where mourners and participants in their painful loss gathered, asking the Almighty to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and forgiveness.
