أشاد وزير الكهرباء والطاقة اليمني المهندس مانع بن يمين بالدعم السعودي المتواصل والمستمر لليمن، الذي يشمل مختلف المجالات التنموية والإنسانية.
وقال في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ» إن السعودية لطالما ظلت ولا تزال تقف الى جانب اليمن على الدوام في مختلف الأوقات والظروف الصعبة التي مر بها اليمن، وهو الدعم الذي مكّن اليمنيين من التغلب على الصعوبات والتحديات كافة، ومواجهة تداعيات سنوات الحرب الحوثية التي كادت تدفع باليمن نحو الانهيار الشامل لولا تدخلات الأشقاء في المملكة العربية السعودية، بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان.
وفي السياق ذاته أكد بن يمين أهمية الدعم السعودي المقدم لقطاع الكهرباء لليمن، باعتبارها أساس الحياة والتنمية والمدخل الحقيقي لإحداث التحسن الذي يشمل الخدمات الأخرى كافة، في قطاعات الصحة والمستشفيات، والمياه والتعليم، ومناحي الحياة الأخرى التي ترتبط خدماتها بشكل أساسي بالكهرباء.
ولفت إلى أن منحة المشتقات النفطية المقدمة لقطاع الكهرباء من شأنها أن تساعد الحكومة على الوفاء بالتزاماتها في دفع الرواتب، وتوفر على الدولة ملايين الدولارات التي تذهب لشراء الوقود للمحطات، وهو الأمر الذي يحقق الاستقرار الاقتصادي، ويحافظ على قيمة الريال اليمني أمام العملات الصعبة.
امتداد لدعم كبير ومتواصل
وقال وزير الكهرباء اليمني إن التوقيع الذي شهدته العاصمة السعودية الرياض اليوم مع البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن على اتفاقية دعم المشتقات النفطية يعد امتداداً لدعم كبير ومتواصل قدم خلال السنوات الماضية لقطاع الكهرباء في اليمن ومن شأن هذا الدعم الذي جاء في ظروف صعبة وبالغة التعقيد أن يعمل على تحسين خدمة الكهرباء التي واجهت الأيام الأخيرة انقطاعات حادة وكبيرة، بسبب عدم توفر الوقود لمحطات التوليد.
وأشار إلى أن هذا الدعم يحمل رسالة محبة أخرى إلى عموم المواطنين اليمنيين من قبل الأشقاء في المملكة العربية السعودية وقيادتها الوفية الداعمة لليمن، مفادها أن المملكة تقف دوماً إلى جانبكم، وسوف يلمسون النتائج بشكل مباشر مع منحة المشتقات النفطية الجديدة، من خلال تحسن الكهرباء، باعتبارها خدمة تلامس معاناة الناس بشكل مباشر، وتساهم بشكل كبير في تحسين الخدمات الأخرى كافة، وأن هذا الدعم يساعد الحكومة اليمنية في النهوض بمسؤولياتها وواجباتها تجاه الشعب اليمني. ولفت إلى أنه خلال السنوات الماضية شكل الدعم السعودي لقطاع الكهرباء أهم مجالات الدعم الذي خفف الكثير من العبء على الحكومة، وحال دون المزيد من التدهور الاقتصادي.
وأعرب بن يمين عن تقديره للأشقاء في المملكة بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، على هذا الدعم الذي جاء في أوقات صعبة جدا وبالغة التعقيد يواجهها اليمن.
وقال إن الشعب اليمني لن ينسى أبداً مواقف الأشقاء الى جانبهم، وسيظلون يحملون مشاعر الوفاء لهذا البلد الجار والشقيق.
وتطرق لدور البرنامح السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن في تنفيذ المشاريع الحيوية لليمن في شتى المجالات، وعلى وجه الخصوص في قطاع الكهرباء.
وأشاد بدور سفير السعودية لدى اليمن المشرف العام على البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن محمد آل جابر.
وأعرب عن تطلعه في استمرار التعاون مع السعودية للنهوض بقطاع الكهرباء ومواصلة الدعم في تنفيذ المشاريع الإستراتيجية، وصولاً للاستقرار الدائم في هذا القطاع الذي يعي الجميع أهميته وتأثيره سواء كان على المواطن بشكل مباشر، أو على الصعيد السياسي والاقتصادي للبلد.

The Yemeni Minister of Electricity and Energy, Engineer Mani' bin Yameen, praised the continuous and ongoing Saudi support for Yemen, which encompasses various developmental and humanitarian fields.
In a special statement to "Okaz," he said that Saudi Arabia has always stood and continues to stand by Yemen at all times and in the difficult circumstances that Yemen has gone through. This support has enabled Yemenis to overcome all difficulties and challenges and to confront the repercussions of the years of Houthi war that nearly pushed Yemen towards complete collapse were it not for the interventions of our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
In this context, bin Yameen emphasized the importance of the Saudi support provided to the electricity sector in Yemen, considering it the foundation of life and development and the true entry point for achieving improvement that encompasses all other services in the health and hospital sectors, water, education, and other aspects of life that are fundamentally linked to electricity services.
He pointed out that the grant of oil derivatives provided to the electricity sector would help the government meet its obligations in paying salaries and save the state millions of dollars that would go to purchasing fuel for the stations, which achieves economic stability and maintains the value of the Yemeni riyal against hard currencies.
Continuation of Significant and Ongoing Support
The Yemeni Minister of Electricity stated that the signing that took place today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen on the oil derivatives support agreement is an extension of the significant and ongoing support provided over the past years to the electricity sector in Yemen. This support, which came in very difficult and complex circumstances, is expected to improve the electricity service, which has faced severe and significant outages in recent days due to the lack of fuel for generation stations.
He noted that this support carries another message of love to all Yemeni citizens from our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its loyal leadership supporting Yemen, indicating that the Kingdom always stands by you, and they will directly feel the results with the new oil derivatives grant through improved electricity, as it is a service that directly touches people's suffering and significantly contributes to improving all other services. This support helps the Yemeni government fulfill its responsibilities and duties towards the Yemeni people. He pointed out that over the past years, Saudi support for the electricity sector has been one of the most important areas of support that alleviated much of the burden on the government and prevented further economic deterioration.
Bin Yameen expressed his appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for this support that came during very difficult and complex times faced by Yemen.
He said that the Yemeni people will never forget the positions of their brothers alongside them, and they will continue to carry feelings of loyalty to this neighboring and brotherly country.
He touched on the role of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in implementing vital projects for Yemen in various fields, particularly in the electricity sector.
He praised the role of the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and the general supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber.
He expressed his hope for continued cooperation with Saudi Arabia to advance the electricity sector and continue support in implementing strategic projects, leading to permanent stability in this sector, which everyone recognizes its importance and impact, whether directly on the citizen or on the political and economic level of the country.
