ثمّن البرلمان العربي قرار دولة إسبانيا بتشكيل تحالف دولي لدعم السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية ماليا، في ظل استمرار احتجاز كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لأموال المقاصة المخصصة للسلطة. واعتبر البرلمان أن هذه الخطوة الإستراتيجية تمثل مظلة دعم دولية لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني، وتعزز صمود مؤسسات الدولة الفلسطينية في مواجهة ممارسات الاحتلال.
اعترافات دولية متصاعدة بفلسطين
ورحّب البرلمان العربي بقرار جمهورية سان مارينو الاعتراف رسميا بدولة فلسطين، واصفا إياه بالقرار التاريخي الذي يضيف زخما لمسار الاعتراف الدولي بالدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة. كما دعا رئيس البرلمان العربي، محمد بن أحمد اليماحي، المجتمع الدولي إلى البناء على هذه الخطوات عبر الإسراع بالاعتراف الشامل بفلسطين، وحثّ الدول الأوروبية التي لم تتخذ هذه الخطوة بعد على انتهاج هذا المسار العادل.
تحولات دبلوماسية لافتة
وشهد سبتمبر موجة غير مسبوقة من الاعترافات بفلسطين كدولة، رفعت عدد الدول المؤيدة إلى نحو 160 من أصل 193 عضوا في الأمم المتحدة، ما يعكس تحولا في المواقف الأوروبية والغربية تجاه النزاع الفلسطيني–الإسرائيلي، خصوصا مع استمرار الحرب في غزة منذ أكتوبر 2023 التي أودت بحياة أكثر من 66 ألف فلسطيني، وفقا لوزارة الصحة في غزة. وجاء اعتراف سان مارينو خلال الدورة 80 للجمعية العامة، متزامنا مع خطوات مشابهة من بريطانيا وكندا وأستراليا ودول أوروبية أخرى، كرد فعل على تصاعد الاستيطان الإسرائيلي وتدمير غزة.
The Arab Parliament praised the decision of the Kingdom of Spain to form an international coalition to financially support the Palestinian National Authority, amid the ongoing detention by the Israeli occupation entity of the clearance funds allocated to the authority. The Parliament considered this strategic step as an international support umbrella for the rights of the Palestinian people, and it enhances the resilience of Palestinian state institutions in the face of the practices of occupation.
Increasing International Recognitions of Palestine
The Arab Parliament welcomed the decision of the Republic of San Marino to officially recognize the State of Palestine, describing it as a historic decision that adds momentum to the international recognition path of the independent Palestinian state. The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yemahi, also called on the international community to build on these steps by accelerating comprehensive recognition of Palestine, urging European countries that have not yet taken this step to pursue this just path.
Notable Diplomatic Transformations
September witnessed an unprecedented wave of recognitions of Palestine as a state, raising the number of supporting countries to nearly 160 out of 193 UN member states, reflecting a shift in European and Western positions regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, especially with the ongoing war in Gaza since October 2023, which has claimed the lives of more than 66,000 Palestinians, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. The recognition by San Marino came during the 80th session of the General Assembly, coinciding with similar steps from Britain, Canada, Australia, and other European countries, in response to the escalation of Israeli settlement and the destruction of Gaza.
