دعا الملياردير إيلون ماسك، مالك شركتي «تسلا» و«إكس» إلى حل البرلمان وتغيير الحكومة في المملكة المتحدة خلال كلمة ألقاها عبر الفيديو في تجمع يميني متطرف في لندن يوم السبت.
جاءت تصريحات ماسك خلال مظاهرة «توحيد المملكة» التي نظمها الناشط اليميني المتطرف تومي روبنسون، واسمه الحقيقي ستيفن ياكسلي-لينون، التي جذبت أكثر من 110 آلاف شخص إلى شوارع العاصمة البريطانية.
ماسك: المقاومة أو الموت
وخلال كلمته، حذّر ماسك من أن العنف قادم، مهاجماً ما وصفه بـ«العقلية اليقظوية » (woke mindset)، وقال للحشد: «إما أن تقاوموا أو تموتوا».

وتأتي هذه التصريحات في سياق توتر متصاعد بين ماسك والحكومة البريطانية، إذ انتقد بشدة قانون السلامة على الإنترنت في المملكة المتحدة، معتبراً إياه تهديداً لحرية التعبير، كما هاجم تعامل الحكومة مع قضايا عصابات الاستغلال الجنسي.
وأضاف ماسك: «أعتقد حقاً أن هناك حاجة لتغيير الحكومة في بريطانيا، لا يمكننا الانتظار أربع سنوات أو حتى موعد الانتخابات القادمة، هذا طويل جداً. يجب حل البرلمان وإجراء تصويت جديد».
وهذه ليست المرة الأولى التي يتحدث فيها ماسك عن العنف في بريطانيا، إذ سبق أن قال العام الماضي إن الحرب الأهلية حتمية بعد أعمال شغب اندلعت إثر ادعاءات من مجموعات يمينية متطرفة بأن طالب لجوء مسلماً كان مسؤولاً عن طعن ثلاثة أطفال، وهي حملة تضليل أثارت غضباً ضد المهاجرين.
كما وجه ماسك انتقادات حادة لرئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر، متهماً إياه بتطبيق شرطة ذات مستويين تعاقب المتظاهرين اليمينيين بقسوة أكبر مقارنة بالمتظاهرين اليساريين، ورغم دحض هذا الادعاء، لا يزال يُستخدم من قبل منظري المؤامرة وسياسيين شعبويين مثل نايجل فاراج، زعيم حزب «ريفورم يو كيه».
أكبر تجمع قومي في بريطانيا منذ عقود
وشهدت مظاهرة «توحيد المملكة»، التي وصفتها صحيفة «الغارديان» بأنها أكبر تجمع قومي منذ عقود، أعمال عنف، إذ ألقى بعض المتظاهرين زجاجات ومقذوفات على الشرطة، مما أدى إلى اعتقال 25 شخصاً، وفقاً لهيئة الإذاعة البريطانية (بي بي سي).

Musk's remarks came during the "Unite the Kingdom" demonstration organized by far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, which attracted more than 110,000 people to the streets of the British capital.

During his speech, Musk warned that violence is coming, attacking what he described as the "woke mindset," and told the crowd: "You either resist or you die."

These statements come amid escalating tensions between Musk and the British government, as he has strongly criticized the Online Safety Bill in the UK, considering it a threat to freedom of expression, and he has attacked the government's handling of issues related to sexual exploitation gangs.
Musk added: "I really believe there is a need for a change in government in Britain; we cannot wait four years or even until the next election, that is too long. Parliament must be dissolved and a new vote held."
This is not the first time Musk has spoken about violence in Britain, as he previously stated last year that a civil war is inevitable following riots that erupted after claims from far-right groups that a Muslim asylum seeker was responsible for stabbing three children, a disinformation campaign that sparked anger against immigrants.
Musk also directed sharp criticism at British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, accusing him of implementing a two-tier policing system that punishes right-wing protesters more harshly compared to left-wing protesters. Despite this claim being refuted, it continues to be used by conspiracy theorists and populist politicians like Nigel Farage, leader of the "Reform UK" party.
Largest Nationalist Gathering in Britain in Decades
The "Unite the Kingdom" demonstration, described by the Guardian as the largest nationalist gathering in decades, witnessed violence, as some protesters threw bottles and projectiles at the police, resulting in the arrest of 25 individuals, according to the BBC.
