عقد وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، أمس (الخميس)، مباحثات في العاصمة القطرية الدوحة مع مسؤولة الشؤون الخارجية بالاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس بشأن البرنامج النووي، وفق ما أعلنته وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية اليوم (الجمعة)، مؤكدة أن الطرفين اتفقا على مواصلة المشاورات خلال الأسابيع القادمة.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الإيرانية الرسمية «إرنا» عن عراقجي قوله: «طهران ملتزمة بمسار الدبلوماسية»، مؤكداً أن بلاده جادة في هذا الموقف وستواصل التمسك به.
وأضافت الوكالة أن المباحثات تناولت آخر المستجدات المتعلقة بالملف النووي الإيراني، خصوصاً في ظل الخطوة التي اتخذتها الترويكا الأوروبية لإعادة تفعيل قرارات مجلس الأمن الملغاة، إلى جانب استعراض مسار التعاون بين إيران والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.
وفي سياق آخر، يلتقي مسؤولون إيرانيون مع وفد من الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، اليوم، في العاصمة النمساوية فيينا لمناقشة مستقبل التعاون بين الجانبين.
وقال ممثل إيران الدائم لدى المنظمات الدولية في فيينا، رضا نجفي، لهيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون الإيرانية، إن اللقاء سيناقش تحديد «صيغة جديدة للتعاون»، موضحاً أن «المحادثات ستُجرى على مستوى الخبراء».
وكان رئيس منظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية محمد إسلامي، قد كشف قبل أيام عن عقد اجتماعين مع ممثلي الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، على أن يُعقد اجتماع ثالث خلال الفترة القادمة.
وشددت طهران في هذا السياق على أن أي عمليات تفتيش مستقبلية ستتطلب موافقة المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks yesterday (Thursday) in the Qatari capital Doha with the European Union's foreign affairs chief, Josep Borrell, regarding the nuclear program, as announced by the Iranian Foreign Ministry today (Friday), confirming that both sides agreed to continue consultations in the coming weeks.
The official Iranian news agency "IRNA" quoted Araghchi as saying, "Tehran is committed to the path of diplomacy," emphasizing that his country is serious about this stance and will continue to adhere to it.
The agency added that the discussions addressed the latest developments related to the Iranian nuclear file, especially in light of the step taken by the European troika to reactivate the canceled Security Council resolutions, in addition to reviewing the cooperation path between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In another context, Iranian officials are meeting with a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency today in the Austrian capital Vienna to discuss the future of cooperation between the two sides.
Iran's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Reza Najafi, told the Iranian Radio and Television Organization that the meeting will discuss defining "a new framework for cooperation," explaining that "the talks will be held at the expert level."
Days ago, the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, revealed that two meetings had been held with representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency, with a third meeting scheduled to take place in the near future.
Tehran emphasized in this context that any future inspection operations will require the approval of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council.
