أعلن وزير الخارجية البلجيكي ماكسيم بريفو اليوم، أنّ بلاده ستعترف بدولة فلسطين خلال اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة المقررة في نيويورك في سبتمبر الجاري.
وأكد ماكسيم بريفو، عزم بروكسل فرض «عقوبات صارمة» على الكيان الإسرائيلي.
ويأتي هذا الموقف بعد إعلان الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون في نهاية يوليو، أنّ بلاده ستعترف بدولة فلسطين خلال اجتماعات الجمعية العامة التي ستُعقد من 9 إلى 23 سبتمبر.
كما أكدت أكثر من (12) دولة غربية إعلانها أنّها ستحذو حذو فرنسا.
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot announced today that his country will recognize the State of Palestine during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meetings scheduled in New York this September.
Maxime Prévot confirmed Brussels' intention to impose "strict sanctions" on the Israeli entity.
This position follows the announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron at the end of July that his country would recognize the State of Palestine during the General Assembly meetings to be held from September 9 to 23.
More than 12 Western countries have also confirmed their announcement that they will follow France's lead.
