32 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes, one of which targeted a school sheltering displaced persons west of Gaza City, at a time when areas of the city are witnessing displacement amid the advance of occupation tanks towards residential areas.
Sources in Gaza hospitals announced that 24 Palestinians were killed in Gaza City alone, while the rest were distributed across other areas of the Strip.
Occupation aircraft targeted the Amr ibn al-As school, which shelters displaced persons in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood today (Friday), resulting in the deaths of 12 people, including children. Footage showed several dead and injured being transported from the school.
The massacre comes hours after another airstrike targeted displaced persons in the same neighborhood, resulting in 5 deaths, including 3 children. Another airstrike in the nearby al-Shati refugee camp resulted in the deaths of 4, including two children. Several neighborhoods in Gaza City were subjected to heavy shelling today, focusing on the southern and eastern neighborhoods.
A source at the Baptist hospital reported that two people were killed in an Israeli bombardment of the al-Sabra neighborhood, just hours after 8 people, including a leader from the Fatah movement, were killed in an airstrike targeting a house.
For his part, the director of medical relief in Gaza, Mohamed Abu Afash, announced that ambulance teams were unable to reach the dead and wounded in the al-Sabra and al-Zeitoun neighborhoods.
The Nasser Medical Complex announced that two Palestinians were killed and others injured due to an Israeli bombardment targeting tents of displaced persons and a water station northwest of Khan Younis.
To the south of Khan Younis, the Israeli occupation army carried out new demolition operations on residential buildings today, according to Palestinian sources.
Gaza Strip hospitals announced that 41 people were killed by the fire of occupation forces, including 11 of the starving who were trying to obtain some food yesterday (Thursday).
Meanwhile, some residents of Gaza City have displaced to camps along the coast, while other families have moved to the central and southern parts of the Strip, as Israeli tanks have approached Gaza City over the past ten days.
The director of medical relief in Gaza warned that the city would witness significant displacement if there was no international intervention to prevent its invasion.
