French President Emmanuel Macron suggested that Geneva host a peace summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Macron stated that the country hosting this meeting should be neutral, according to what the French Press Agency reported today (Tuesday), proposing that the city of Geneva in Switzerland host the planned meeting. He noted that European countries would begin working on security guarantees today. The French president confirmed that Europeans would do their utmost to hold the Russian-Ukrainian meeting in the coming days or perhaps weeks.

Macron considered the next 15 days to be extremely crucial. He said: For us, it is very important to complete the work with the Americans and to confirm the security guarantees.

Political sources hinted at the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Zelensky within two weeks. Meanwhile, no position has been issued by the Kremlin regarding this meeting. Zelensky revealed his readiness to sit down with Putin to discuss ending the war and the issue of territories.

The White House hosted a meeting last night that included, alongside American President Donald Trump, European leaders and the Ukrainian president. Participants described the summit as positive and important, agreeing on the necessity of providing guarantees to Ukraine to protect its borders and sovereignty.
