أعرب الأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية أحمد أبو الغيط عن رفضه وإدانته بأشد العبارات ما أعلنه مجلس الوزراء الإسرائيلي المصغر، عن خطة تقضي بـ «إعادة» احتلال قطاع غزة، ووضعه تحت سيطرة إسرائيلية، وتهجير سكان مدينة غزة وحشر أغلب سكان القطاع في زاوية ضيقة في جنوبه.
ونقل المتحدث الرسمي عن أبو الغيط تأكيده أن الجامعة العربية قد حذّرت مرارًا من مغبة ترك الحبل على غاربه لإسرائيل لتخوض حربها الإجرامية الجنونية، والتي لا تعرف نهاية، ضد الشعب الفلسطيني بهدف تصفية قضيته والقضاء عليه كجماعة قومية، مشددًا على أن الوقت قد حان لموقف حازم من المجتمع الدولي لوقف هذا المسلسل الدموي.
وقال المتحدث الرسمي إن أبو الغيط يعتبر الخطة انعكاسًا حقيقيًا للنوايا والأهداف الإسرائيلية منذ بداية الحرب، والتي تتمثل في إعادة احتلال القطاع بالكامل، وطرد أكبر عدد ممكن من سكانه إلى خارجه، وهو ما يرفضه الجانب العربي رفضًا قاطعًا شاملًا، بل ويرفضه ويدينه العالم كله.
وشدد المتحدث على أن حكومة الاحتلال باتت غير مدركة لقدر العزلة التي تواجهها على الصعيد الدولي جراء إمعانها في مباشرة حرب الإبادة لما يقرب من عامين، وأن أقطاب الحكومة الإسرائيلية مدفوعون بأيديولوجيات بالغة التطرف أو بمصالح ذاتية ضيقة، وأنهم لا يعبأون حتى بمصير الرهائن الإسرائيليين في القطاع.
وأعلن المجلس الوزاري المصغر للشؤون السياسية والأمنية في إسرائيل «الكابينت»، الموافقة على خطة رئيس الوزراء، بنيامين نتنياهو، من خلال سيطرة الجيش الإسرائيلي على مدينة غزة، مع ضمان تقديم المساعدات الإنسانية للمدنيين خارج مناطق القتال، خصوصًا وسط القطاع.
وتتضن الخطة الإسرائيلية التي أُعلن عن مصادقة مجلس الوزراء الإسرائيلي المصغر عليها، إعادة احتلال القطاع وفرض سيطرة إسرائيلية كاملة، مع تهجير سكان مدينة غزة إلى الجنوب في منطقة ضيقة، هذه الخطوة تُعتبر جزءًا من استراتيجية أوسع تهدف، بحسب أبو الغيط، إلى تصفية القضية الفلسطينية من خلال طرد السكان وإعادة تشكيل الواقع الديموغرافي والجغرافي للقطاع.
تأتي هذه التطورات وسط إجماع عربي على رفض التهجير القسري للفلسطينيين، كما أكدت قمة القاهرة في مارس 2025، التي دعمت خطة مصرية لإعمار غزة ورفضت مقترحات التهجير، في الوقت نفسه، تواجه إسرائيل عزلة دولية متزايدة بسبب استمرار عملياتها العسكرية وسياساتها المتطرفة، خصوصاً مع تصريحات وزراء إسرائيليين تدعو إلى ضم الضفة الغربية أو تكثيف العمليات في غزة.
من جهة أخرى، تستمر المفاوضات بشأن مستقبل القطاع، مع مقترحات مصرية وقطرية لوقف إطلاق النار وتسليم معابر مثل رفح إلى السلطة الفلسطينية، لكن هذه الجهود تواجه تعقيدات بسبب المواقف المتشددة من الجانب الإسرائيلي.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his rejection and condemnation in the strongest terms of what the Israeli Security Cabinet announced regarding a plan to "reoccupy" the Gaza Strip, placing it under Israeli control, and forcibly displacing the residents of Gaza City while cornering most of the population of the Strip into a narrow area in its south.
The official spokesperson for Aboul Gheit conveyed his confirmation that the Arab League has repeatedly warned against allowing Israel to pursue its criminal and insane war, which knows no end, against the Palestinian people with the aim of liquidating their cause and eliminating them as a national group, emphasizing that the time has come for a firm stance from the international community to stop this bloody series of events.
The spokesperson stated that Aboul Gheit considers the plan a true reflection of Israeli intentions and objectives since the beginning of the war, which consist of completely reoccupying the Strip and expelling as many of its residents as possible, a stance that is categorically and comprehensively rejected by the Arab side, and indeed condemned by the entire world.
The spokesperson stressed that the occupying government has become oblivious to the extent of the isolation it faces on the international stage due to its continued engagement in a genocidal war for nearly two years, and that the leaders of the Israeli government are driven by extremely extremist ideologies or narrow self-interests, showing little concern for the fate of the Israeli hostages in the Strip.
The Israeli Security Cabinet, "the Cabinet," announced its approval of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plan, which involves the Israeli army taking control of Gaza City while ensuring the provision of humanitarian aid to civilians outside combat areas, especially in the center of the Strip.
The Israeli plan, which the Israeli Security Cabinet has approved, includes the reoccupation of the Strip and the imposition of complete Israeli control, with the displacement of the residents of Gaza City to the south in a narrow area. This step is considered part of a broader strategy aimed, according to Aboul Gheit, at liquidating the Palestinian cause by expelling the population and reshaping the demographic and geographic reality of the Strip.
These developments come amid an Arab consensus rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians, as confirmed by the Cairo Summit in March 2025, which supported an Egyptian plan for the reconstruction of Gaza and rejected proposals for displacement. At the same time, Israel faces increasing international isolation due to its ongoing military operations and extremist policies, especially with statements from Israeli ministers calling for the annexation of the West Bank or intensifying operations in Gaza.
On the other hand, negotiations regarding the future of the Strip continue, with Egyptian and Qatari proposals for a ceasefire and the handover of crossings like Rafah to the Palestinian Authority, but these efforts face complications due to the hardline positions from the Israeli side.
