وسط اتهامات من المعارضة وعائلات الأسرى لنتنياهو بالتخلي عن الرهائن، كشفت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية اليوم (الخميس) مخطط الاحتلال في غزة.
ونقلت صحيفة معاريف الإسرائيلية عن مصادر عسكرية قولها إنه بعد إكمال احتلال غزة سيضطر الجيش لإقامة حكم عسكري والاهتمام بشؤون 2.2 مليون فلسطيني، مشيراً إلى أن التقديرات لاحتلال غزة قد يستغرق نحو 3 أشهر على الأقل ويشمل تدمير الأنفاق.
وأشار إلى أن هناك تقديرات بمقتل عدد كبير من الجنود فيما سيلقى أغلب الأسرى حتفهم على يد آسريهم أو بالغارات إذا جرى توسيع العملية العسكرية.
ولفت إلى أن جيش الاحتلال سيعرض اليوم على القيادة السياسية الثمن الذي ستدفعه إسرائيل إذا قررت احتلال قطاع غزة.
من جهتها، أفادت قناة آي 24 العبرية أن جيش الاحتلال يوافق للمرة الأولى على إنشاء كتيبة احتياط تضم مقاتلين تتجاوز أعمارهم 50 عاما بسبب النقص الحاد في صفوفه.
في غضون ذلك، نقلت صحيفة «يديعوت أحرونوت» عن زعيم حزب الديمقراطيين يائير غولان قوله: «الحكومة الإسرائيلية تتخلى عن المخطوفين لاعتبارات سياسية خصوصاً أن اتخاذ قرار باحتلال غزة يعني التخلي عن إمكانية إعادة المخطوفين».
وأشار إلى أن حركة حماس لم تعد تشكل تهديدا على إسرائيل ولا مبررا لاحتلال غزة، مبيناً أن احتلال غزة دون وجود بديل لحركة حماس يعني أن إدارة القطاع ستناط بالجنود وسيقتل مئات منهم.
وأضاف: رئيس الأركان يقف بقوة أمام حكومة فاسدة لكن أياديه مكبلة، مشيراً إلى أن وزراء المجلس المصغر سيجتمعون كي يوقعوا فقط وما سيجري هو عرض سياسي وليس اجتماعا أمنيا.
والتقت عائلات الأسرى الإسرائيليين اليوم رئيس الأركان أيال زامير، مطالبين إياه بعدم السماح بالتخلي عن الأسرى، فالشعب يريد إنهاء الحرب وإعادتهم.
وشددت عائلات الأسرى في مطالباتهم على ضرورة الوقوف إلى جانبهم وألا توافق على تعريض أبنائنا للخطر، مبينة أن %80 من الشعب يدعمون اتفاقا لإعادة الرهائن وإنهاء الحرب.
وأشار إلى أن أي قرار لا يتضمن إعادة الرهائن ووقف الحرب فهو ضد إرادة الشعب.
وقالت عائلات الأسرى في غزة: لن نصمت بعد الآن ولن نتنازل والشعب فقط هو من سيعيد الرهائن من غزة، داعين إلى التظاهر أمام مكان انعقاد المجلس المصغر اليوم بشكل طارئ.
وقالت والدة الأسير الإسرائيلي بغزة متان تسانغاوكر: نتنياهو عرقل صفقة تبادل الأسرى مستغلا ألم عائلات الرهائن، مبينة أن نتنياهو استغل وجعها وأكد لها أن الاتفاق سيعيد جميع الرهائن.
وأضافت: من يريد اتفاقا لا يذهب لاحتلال غزة ويعرض الرهائن والجنود للخطر، مبينة أن هذه الليلة ستكون ليلة مصيرية وحاسمة في حياة إسرائيل، داعية للتظاهر اليوم أمام مقر انعقاد المجلس الوزاري المصغر بالقدس.
بدوره، قال رئيس الأركان الإسرائيلي إيال زامير خلال لقائه بعائلات الأسرى: مستمرون في إبداء موقفنا دون خوف وبشكل موضوعي ومستقل، مضيفاً: نقترب من المراحل النهائية لعملية «مركبات جدعون».
Amid accusations from the opposition and families of the captives against Netanyahu for abandoning the hostages, Israeli media revealed today (Thursday) the occupation's plan in Gaza.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported military sources saying that after completing the occupation of Gaza, the army will have to establish a military rule and take care of the affairs of 2.2 million Palestinians, indicating that estimates suggest the occupation of Gaza could take about 3 months at least and will include the destruction of tunnels.
It was noted that there are estimates of a large number of soldiers being killed, while most of the captives will meet their fate at the hands of their captors or in airstrikes if the military operation is expanded.
He pointed out that the occupation army will present today to the political leadership the price that Israel will pay if it decides to occupy the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the i24 Hebrew channel reported that the occupation army has agreed for the first time to establish a reserve battalion comprising fighters over the age of 50 due to the severe shortage in its ranks.
Meanwhile, the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth quoted the leader of the Democratic Party, Yair Golan, as saying: "The Israeli government is abandoning the hostages for political considerations, especially since the decision to occupy Gaza means abandoning the possibility of returning the captives."
He indicated that Hamas no longer poses a threat to Israel nor justifies the occupation of Gaza, explaining that occupying Gaza without an alternative to Hamas means that the management of the sector will fall to the soldiers, and hundreds of them will be killed.
He added: The Chief of Staff stands firmly against a corrupt government, but his hands are tied, noting that the ministers of the security cabinet will meet just to sign, and what will happen is a political presentation, not a security meeting.
The families of the Israeli captives met today with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, demanding that he not allow the abandonment of the captives, as the people want to end the war and bring them back.
The families of the captives emphasized in their demands the necessity of standing by them and not agreeing to put our children at risk, indicating that 80% of the people support an agreement to return the hostages and end the war.
He pointed out that any decision that does not include the return of the hostages and stopping the war is against the will of the people.
The families of the captives in Gaza said: We will not be silent any longer, and we will not concede; the people alone will bring the hostages back from Gaza, calling for an emergency protest in front of the venue of the security cabinet today.
The mother of the Israeli captive in Gaza, Metan Tsangawker, said: Netanyahu obstructed the prisoner exchange deal, exploiting the pain of the hostage families, indicating that Netanyahu took advantage of her suffering and assured her that the agreement would return all the hostages.
She added: Those who want an agreement do not go to occupy Gaza and put the hostages and soldiers at risk, indicating that tonight will be a decisive and fateful night in the life of Israel, calling for a protest today in front of the venue of the ministerial security cabinet in Jerusalem.
For his part, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said during his meeting with the families of the captives: We continue to express our position without fear and in an objective and independent manner, adding: We are approaching the final stages of Operation "Gideon's Vehicles."
