The Israeli army launched airstrikes on positions of the Houthi group in Hodeidah and the western coast. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said today (Monday): "We are currently attacking Houthi targets at the port of Hodeidah." He confirmed that the Houthis will pay a heavy price for continuing to launch rockets. He added: "We are strongly preventing any attempt to restore the Houthi infrastructure at the port of Hodeidah." Channel 12 in Israel announced, "The attack on Houthi targets in Yemen has ended."

The Israeli army monitored the launch of a missile from Yemen towards Israel last Friday and clarified that air defense systems are working to intercept it. It mentioned that warning sirens for airstrikes sounded in several areas in Israel following the missile launch.

The Houthi group announced last Friday evening that it had carried out a military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv with a ballistic missile. A Houthi spokesperson stated that "the operation successfully achieved its goal, causing millions to rush to shelters and halting airport operations."

Channel 12 in Israel reported that the missile is the second launched from Yemen within the past 48 hours, causing flight cancellations at Ben Gurion Airport.

Since the end of 2023, the Houthis have been launching missile attacks against Israel and against ships in the Red Sea. Israel responds to Houthi attacks by carrying out strikes on their controlled sites in Yemen.

The Houthis claimed responsibility last week for two attacks that targeted two commercial vessels off the coast of Yemen within 24 hours. The Israeli army responded by releasing footage of its fighter jets taking off to attack Houthi targets at the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Salif, announcing that about 20 fighter jets participated in launching strikes on Houthi positions in Yemen.
