قال وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، إنه يتم إعداد الرد على رسالة الولايات المتحدة بشأن اتفاق محتمل حول برنامج بلاده النووي.
وقدم وزير الخارجية الإيراني، الأحد، خلال اجتماع مجلس الوزراء، تقريراً عن آخر تطورات المفاوضات غير المباشرة بين إيران وأمريكا والرسالة التي أرسلها الأمريكيون أخيراً لإيران عبر سلطنة عمان، مشيراً إلى أن «رداً على هذه الرسالة قيد الإعداد حالياً».
وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني قد أعلن مساء (السبت) أن نظيره العماني بدر البوسعيدي قدم إلى طهران خلال زيارة قصيرة حاملاً معه مقترحات أمريكية، مؤكداً أنه سيتم الرد عليها بالشكل المناسب بناءً على المبادئ والمصالح الوطنية وحقوق الشعب الإيراني.
وقال عراقجي في تدوينه عبر منصة «X»: «أخي العزيز السيد بدر البوسعيدي، وزير الخارجية العماني، نقل اليوم خلال زيارة قصيرة إلى طهران مقترحات أمريكية، سيتم الرد عليها بالشكل المناسب بناءً على المبادئ والمصالح الوطنية وحقوق الشعب الإيراني».
وكان الوزير عراقجي قد أعلن يوم الجمعة 23 مايو بعد الجولة الخامسة من المفاوضات غير المباشرة بين إيران وأمريكا بوساطة عمانية عن تقديم أفكار من قبل عمان لرفع العقبات، وقال إنه تقرر أن يعود الطرفان إلى عواصمهما لدراستها. كما أعلن عراقجي، أنه قد تقرر أن يقدم الطرفان رؤيتهما تجاه المقترحات والحلول، ثم يتم تحديد موعد الجولة التالية من المفاوضات، مضيفاً: «في الجولة القادمة، إذا حظيت هذه الحلول باهتمام في العواصم، سنتمكن من الدخول في بعض التفاصيل».
وكان مبعوث البيت الأبيض ستيف ويتكوف قدّم لإيران «اقتراحاً مفصلاً ومقبولاً» للتوصل إلى اتفاق نووي، وفق ما أفاد به كارولين ليفيت، السكرتيرة الصحفية للبيت الأبيض.
إلا أن تفاصيل قليلة تسربت حول ماهية هذا المقترح المكتوب من أجل حل المعضلة الأساسية التي واجهت الجولات الخمس الماضية من المحادثات غير المباشرة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة.
لكن مسؤولين أمريكيين أوضحوا أن المقترح المكتوب يمثل محاولة لحل بشأن مطالبة طهران بمواصلة تخصيب اليورانيوم على أراضيها، حسب ما نقل موقع «أكسيوس».
في حين كشف مسؤول أمريكي ومصدر مطلع أن إحدى الأفكار التي طرحتها سلطنة عُمان وتبنتها الولايات المتحدة، تدعو إلى إنشاء اتحاد إقليمي يخصب اليورانيوم للأغراض النووية المدنية، تحت مراقبة الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية وأمريكا.
كما أضاف المصدر المطلع أن واشنطن تريد أن يكون مقر هذا الاتحاد خارج إيران.
كذلك أشار إلى أن فكرة أخرى طرحت تتمثل في أن تعترف الولايات المتحدة بحق طهران في تخصيب اليورانيوم، على أن تعلق السلطات الإيرانية التخصيب بشكل كامل.
وقالت مصادر إن الاقتراح المحدث جاء نتيجة للجولة الخامسة من المفاوضات التي عقدت بين الجانبين في روما، الأسبوع الماضي.
وطلب الإيرانيون الحصول على الموقف أو المقترح الأمريكي بشكل مكتوب بعد أن قدم ويتكوف اقتراحاً شفوياً خلال الجولة الرابعة من المحادثات، وشرحه بالتفصيل خلال الجولة الخامسة.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that a response to the United States' message regarding a potential agreement on his country's nuclear program is being prepared.
During a cabinet meeting on Sunday, the Iranian Foreign Minister presented a report on the latest developments in the indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S., as well as the message recently sent by the Americans to Iran via Oman, noting that "a response to this message is currently being prepared."
The Iranian Foreign Minister announced on Saturday evening that his Omani counterpart, Badr al-Busaidi, brought proposals from the U.S. to Tehran during a short visit, confirming that they will be responded to appropriately based on national principles, interests, and the rights of the Iranian people.
Araghchi said in a post on the platform "X": "My dear brother Mr. Badr al-Busaidi, the Omani Foreign Minister, conveyed today during a short visit to Tehran American proposals, which will be responded to appropriately based on national principles, interests, and the rights of the Iranian people."
Minister Araghchi had announced on Friday, May 23, after the fifth round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S. mediated by Oman, that ideas had been presented by Oman to lift obstacles, stating that both parties decided to return to their capitals to study them. He also announced that both sides had agreed to present their views on the proposals and solutions, after which the date for the next round of negotiations would be determined, adding: "In the next round, if these solutions receive attention in the capitals, we will be able to delve into some details."
White House envoy Steve Witkoff presented Iran with a "detailed and acceptable proposal" to reach a nuclear agreement, according to Caroline Levitt, the White House press secretary.
However, few details have leaked about the nature of this written proposal aimed at resolving the core issue that has faced the past five rounds of indirect talks between Iran and the United States.
American officials clarified that the written proposal represents an attempt to address Tehran's demand to continue enriching uranium on its territory, as reported by Axios.
Meanwhile, an American official and an informed source revealed that one of the ideas proposed by Oman and adopted by the United States calls for the establishment of a regional union to enrich uranium for civilian nuclear purposes, under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the U.S.
The informed source also added that Washington wants the headquarters of this union to be outside Iran.
Additionally, it was noted that another idea proposed is for the United States to recognize Tehran's right to enrich uranium, provided that Iranian authorities suspend enrichment entirely.
Sources indicated that the updated proposal came as a result of the fifth round of negotiations held between the two sides in Rome last week.
The Iranians requested to receive the American position or proposal in written form after Witkoff presented an oral proposal during the fourth round of talks and explained it in detail during the fifth round.
Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi delivered the written text to Araghchi during his visit to Tehran on Saturday.
