أطلع رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين على الوضع في اليمن والآمال المعقودة على نتائج زيارته إلى موسكو. معرباً عن ثقته بتطور العلاقة بين البلدين وانعكاساتها على استحقاقات الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وقال الرئيس اليمني أثناء لقائه بالرئيس الروسي بالعاصمة الروسية موسكو، اليوم، بمناسبة حلول الذكرى 97 لتأسيس العلاقات الوثيقة بين البلدين: «إننا في قيادة اليمن نثمن عالياً الموقف الروسي الداعم للشرعية الدستورية، كما نقدر حرص موسكو على إحلال السلام والاستقرار، وإنهاء معاناة الشعب اليمني، والإدانة الدائمة للتهديدات الإرهابية المزعزعة لأمن الممرات المائية والسلم والأمن الدوليين»، مؤكداً أهمية الحفاظ على وحدة المجتمع الدولي تجاه الملف اليمني، وجهود مكافحة الإرهاب والقرصنة والجرائم المنظمة.
واستعرض العليمي الشواهد المجسدة لعراقة ومتانة الصداقة اليمنية الروسية التي قامت على مشاعر الود، وتوازن المصالح، والدعم الروسي النوعي لتعزيز حضور الدولة اليمنية في مختلف المراحل، كما تطرق النقاش إلى الأوضاع الاقتصادية والخدمية والإنسانية التي فاقمتها هجمات الحوثي على المنشآت النفطية، والتدخلات التمويلية المقدرة من جانب الأشقاء في تحالف دعم الشرعية بقيادة المملكة العربية السعودية.
وثمن الرئيس اليمني الموقف الروسي إلى جانب القضايا العربية، وفي المقدمة حق الشعب الفلسطيني في إقامة دولته المستقلة، وفقاً لقرارات الشرعية الدولية، والمبادرة العربية للسلام.
بدوره، رحب الرئيس الروسي بالرئيس اليمني، مجدداً تأكيد التزام روسيا الاتحادية بدعم اليمن وشعبه، وتطلعاته للأمن والاستقرار والسلام بما يجسد العلاقات التاريخية المتينة بين البلدين، التي تعتمد على تقاليد راسخة من الصداقة، والاحترام المتبادل، معرباً عن ثقته بتطور هذه العلاقات بما يلبي مصالح البلدين والشعبين الصديقين، واستحقاقات الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, briefed Russian President Vladimir Putin today (Wednesday) on the situation in Yemen and the hopes pinned on the outcomes of his visit to Moscow. He expressed confidence in the development of relations between the two countries and their implications for security and stability in the region.
During his meeting with the Russian president in the Russian capital, Moscow, today, on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of close relations between the two countries, the Yemeni president stated: “We in the leadership of Yemen highly appreciate the Russian position supporting constitutional legitimacy, and we value Moscow's commitment to achieving peace and stability, ending the suffering of the Yemeni people, and the ongoing condemnation of the terrorist threats that undermine the security of maritime passages and international peace and security.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining the unity of the international community regarding the Yemeni file, as well as efforts to combat terrorism, piracy, and organized crime.
Al-Alimi reviewed the tangible evidence of the depth and strength of Yemeni-Russian friendship, which is based on feelings of goodwill, balanced interests, and qualitative Russian support to enhance the presence of the Yemeni state at various stages. The discussion also touched on the economic, service, and humanitarian situations exacerbated by Houthi attacks on oil facilities, as well as the financial interventions estimated from the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Yemeni president praised the Russian position alongside Arab issues, foremost among them the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
For his part, the Russian president welcomed the Yemeni president, reaffirming the commitment of the Russian Federation to support Yemen and its people, and their aspirations for security, stability, and peace, which embody the strong historical relations between the two countries, based on established traditions of friendship and mutual respect. He expressed confidence in the development of these relations in a way that meets the interests of both countries and their friendly peoples, as well as the requirements for security and stability in the region.
