ناقش مدير عام مشروع (مسام) لنزع الألغام- اليمن أسامة بن يوسف القصيبي مع رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة قائد العمليات المشتركة اليمني الفريق الركن صغير بن عزيز سبيل تخليص اليمن خطر الألغام والعبوات الناسفة والذخائر غير المنفجرة التي قامت مليشيا الحوثي بزراعتها.
أشاد الفريق الركن صغير بن عزيز بتضحيات منسويي (مسام) لإنقاذ أرواح الأبرياء وتجنيب اليمنيين خطر الجرائم الحوثية، موضحاً الجماعة تتمادى في زراعة الألغام والمتفجرات المحرمة دولياً، وتنتهك القوانين الإنسانية والدولية.
وأكد بن عزيز التزام القوات المسلحة بدستور الجمهورية اليمنية والاتفاقيات والمواثيق الموقعة عليها، وبالقانون الدولي الإنساني.
وبحث رئيس هيئة الأركان اليمني مع مدير مشروع (مسام) خطة اعتماد فرق البرنامج لتطهير المناطق المحررة الواقعة ضمن نطاق عمليات المنطقة العسكرية، مؤكداً تقديم كل أوجه الدعم والتسهيلات للبرنامج والفرق الهندسية لإنجاح مهماتها الإنسانية العظيمة.
بدوره، أكد القصيبي أهمية الدور الذي تضطلع به القوات المسلحة اليمنية في التصدي لمليشيا الحوثي، وما قدمه أبناؤها من تضحيات في سبيل تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في اليمن، معرباً عن عن تقديره لما تقدمه القوات المسلحة اليمنية من دعم ومساندة لمشروع (مسام). وقال القصيبي: إن المشروع الذي يؤدي رسالة إنسانية من خلال مساعدة الأشقاء اليمنيين على ممارسة حياتهم اليومية بصورة طبيعية بعيداً عن خطر الألغام والعبوات الناسفة تمكن بتعاون الشعب اليمني من تحقيق نتائج مميزة وفقاً للمعايير الدولية المعتمدة في مجال نزع الألغام، مؤكداً عزم المشروع على مواصلة العمل لتخليص اليمن من خطر الألغام، وسيبذل كما بذل في سبيل تحقيق ذلك الغالي والرخيص للوصول إلى هدفه الذي أنشئ من أجله وهو (يمن بلا ألغام).
وكان مدير عام مشروع «مسام» لنزع الألغام في اليمن، أسامة القصيبي، أعلن نجاح الفرق الميدانية التابعة للمشروع وتمكنت منذ انطلاقه وحتى 23 مايو 2025 من نزع 495,855 لغماً وذخيرة غير منفجرة وعبوة ناسفة، في إنجاز نوعي يكرّس الجهود المبذولة لحماية المدنيين اليمنيين من أخطار مخلفات الحرب، موضحاً أن هذه الكمية شملت 334,315 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و8235 عبوة ناسفة، بالإضافة إلى 146,511 لغماً مضاداً للدبابات و6794 لغماً مضاداً للأفراد.
وأشار البيان إلى أن الفرق الهندسية للمشروع نجحت في تطهير نحو 67,244,455 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي اليمنية منذ انطلاق المشروع في يونيو 2018، مما يجعله من أكبر المشاريع الإنسانية المتخصصة في نزع الألغام على مستوى العالم حاليًا.
جاء ذلك بالتزامن مع تكريم فرع المؤتمر الشعبي العام بمحافظة مأرب، للمشروع على جهوده الإنسانية البارزة، ودوره الفاعل في إنقاذ الأرواح من خطر الألغام، وقدم نائب رئيس فرع حزب المؤتمر الشعبي العام سعود اليوسفي، درع الوفاء إلى مساعد مدير المشروع خالد العتيبي بحضور مدير البرنامج الوطني للتعامل مع الألغام العميد الركن أمين العقيلي.
The Director General of the (Masam) Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen, Osama bin Youssef Al-Qusaibi, discussed with the Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Joint Operations in Yemen, Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, the ways to rid Yemen of the dangers of mines, explosive devices, and unexploded ordnance that the Houthi militia has planted.
Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz praised the sacrifices of the (Masam) personnel in saving innocent lives and protecting Yemenis from the dangers of Houthi crimes, explaining that the group continues to plant mines and internationally banned explosives, violating humanitarian and international laws.
Bin Aziz confirmed the commitment of the armed forces to the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen and the agreements and charters signed, as well as to international humanitarian law.
The Yemeni Chief of Staff discussed with the Director of the (Masam) Project the plan to approve the program's teams to clear the liberated areas within the scope of military operations, affirming the provision of all forms of support and facilities to the program and engineering teams to ensure the success of their great humanitarian missions.
For his part, Al-Qusaibi emphasized the important role played by the Yemeni armed forces in confronting the Houthi militia and the sacrifices made by its members in the pursuit of achieving security and stability in Yemen. He expressed his appreciation for the support and assistance provided by the Yemeni armed forces to the (Masam) Project. Al-Qusaibi stated that the project conveys a humanitarian message by helping the Yemeni brothers to live their daily lives normally, away from the dangers of mines and explosive devices. He noted that, with the cooperation of the Yemeni people, the project has achieved remarkable results according to internationally recognized standards in the field of mine clearance, affirming the project's determination to continue working to rid Yemen of the threat of mines, and it will strive, as it has done, to achieve its noble goal of a "Yemen free of mines."
The Director General of the "Masam" Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen, Osama Al-Qusaibi, announced the success of the field teams affiliated with the project, which have managed to clear 495,855 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices since its launch until May 23, 2025, in a qualitative achievement that reinforces the efforts made to protect Yemeni civilians from the dangers of war remnants. He explained that this quantity included 334,315 unexploded ordnance, 8,235 explosive devices, in addition to 146,511 anti-tank mines and 6,794 anti-personnel mines.
The statement indicated that the engineering teams of the project have succeeded in clearing approximately 67,244,455 square meters of Yemeni land since the project's launch in June 2018, making it one of the largest humanitarian projects specialized in mine clearance in the world today.
This coincided with the honoring of the General People's Congress branch in Marib Governorate for the project for its outstanding humanitarian efforts and its effective role in saving lives from the dangers of mines. The Deputy Head of the General People's Congress branch, Saud Al-Yousifi, presented a loyalty shield to the Assistant Director of the project, Khaled Al-Otaibi, in the presence of the Director of the National Program for Dealing with Mines, Brigadier General Amin Al-Aqeeli.
