وجه وزير الداخلية الفرنسي برونو روتايو اليوم (الخميس) المسؤولين المحليين بتعزيز تدابير المراقبة الخاصة بالمواقع المرتبطة باليهود في البلاد، بعد الهجوم الذي أودى بحياة موظفَين في السفارة الإسرائيلية في واشنطن.
وشدد الوزير على أن تكون التدابير الأمنية المعتمدة «جليّة ورادعة». ووصفت الخارجية الفرنسية الهجوم بـ«الشنيع».
وندّد وزير الخارجية الفرنسي جان نويل بارو بـ«فعل شنيع من الهمجية المعادية للسامية»، مضيفاً عبر منصة إكس «ما من مبرّر لعنف مماثل، وفي بالي أقرباؤهم وزملاؤهم».
واتهمت إسرائيل بعض الدول الأوروبية بالتحريض ضدها، معتبرة الهجوم الذي وقع في محيط المتحف اليهودي بواشنطن «جريمة ضد إسرائيل». ودعا وزير الخارجية الإسرائيلي جدعون ساعر زعماء العالم للتوقف عن التحريض ضد إسرائيل. واتهم دولاً أوروبية عدة بالتحريض ضد بلاده.
وقال: «هذا التحريض يمارس أيضاً من جانب قادة ومسؤولين في العديد من الدول والهيئات الدولية، خصوصاً في أوروبا».
بالمقابل، وصفت ألمانيا حادثة مقتل دبلوماسيين إسرائيليين بـ«الجريمة السياسية»، وندّد المستشار الألماني فريدريش ميرتس بشدّة بمقتل الموظفَين مشدداً بالقول: «أُدين هذه الجريمة البشعة بأشد العبارات الممكنة».
من جانبه، قال وزير الخارجية البريطاني ديفيد لامي في منشور على منصة إكس: «مصدومون بمقتل موظفَين في السفارة الإسرائيلية في واشنطن. نندّد بهذه الجريمة الفظيعة».
وقالت منسقة الشؤون الخارجية للاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس إنها «مصدومة» من حادثة إطلاق النار في واشنطن مضيفة: «لا يوجد، ولا ينبغي أن يكون هناك مكان في مجتمعاتنا للكراهية أو التطرف».
وندّد وزير الخارجية الإيطالي أنطونيو تاياني بمشاهد الرعب والعنف، قائلاً: «ينبغي أن تتوقّف، وينبغي ألا تعود فظائع الماضي».
French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau today (Thursday) instructed local officials to enhance surveillance measures at sites linked to Jews in the country, following the attack that claimed the lives of two employees at the Israeli embassy in Washington.
The minister emphasized that the adopted security measures should be "clear and deterrent." The French Foreign Ministry described the attack as "heinous."
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot condemned the act as "a heinous act of anti-Semitic barbarism," adding on the X platform, "There is no justification for such violence, and I think of their relatives and colleagues."
Israel accused some European countries of inciting against it, considering the attack that occurred near the Jewish museum in Washington a "crime against Israel." Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar called on world leaders to stop inciting against Israel. He accused several European countries of inciting against his country.
He stated, "This incitement is also practiced by leaders and officials in many countries and international bodies, especially in Europe."
In contrast, Germany described the incident involving the killing of Israeli diplomats as a "political crime," and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz strongly condemned the killing of the two employees, stating, "I condemn this heinous crime in the strongest possible terms."
For his part, British Foreign Minister David Lammy posted on the X platform: "We are shocked by the killing of two employees at the Israeli embassy in Washington. We condemn this horrific crime."
EU Foreign Affairs Coordinator Kaia Kallas said she was "shocked" by the shooting incident in Washington, adding, "There is, and should be, no place in our societies for hatred or extremism."
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani condemned the scenes of horror and violence, saying, "They must stop, and the atrocities of the past must not return."
