As Israel moves to bring back the negotiating delegation from Doha, as revealed by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, amid a new escalation that threatens to undermine regional and international efforts to reach a ceasefire, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani disclosed that the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza held in the past few weeks have yielded nothing due to fundamental disagreements between the two parties.

In a speech delivered during the Qatar Economic Forum today (Tuesday), he criticized the Israeli escalation, affirming that what is happening is "an irresponsible aggressive behavior that undermines every possible opportunity for peace." He stated that Qatar will continue its efforts with Egypt and the United States to reach a ceasefire.

The Prime Minister noted that the negotiations in Doha over the past two weeks "have not led to anything so far, due to a fundamental gap between the two parties."

He added that one party is seeking a partial agreement that may lead to a comprehensive agreement, while the other party is looking for a one-time agreement only, to end the war and free all hostages... and we have not yet been able to bridge this fundamental gap.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that his country intends to take control of the entire Gaza Strip, as the army intensifies airstrikes and ground operations in the devastated area after 19 months of war.

On the ground, medical sources reported the killing of 73 Palestinians since dawn today, in an Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip that targeted the sites of displaced persons and affected several health centers in "a systematic plan to destroy the health sector."

Meanwhile, civil defense teams in northern Gaza managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in electricity generators inside the Indonesian hospital, following a direct strike by Israeli occupation forces.

The occupation forces had prevented civil defense teams from accessing the Indonesian hospital after a bombing targeted the generator area, leading to a fire that lasted for hours, amid panic among patients and medical staff.

For his part, Marwan Al-Hams, the director of field hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated that the occupation is working according to a systematic plan to destroy the health sector. He added that the ongoing campaign by the occupation army against the health system threatens the lives of the residents of the sector.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that 92% of homes in Gaza have been destroyed or damaged, at a time when families are facing "incredible devastation" due to the Israeli aggression on the sector. It confirmed that countless residents of the sector have been displaced multiple times in conditions of shelter shortages.

According to the latest data from the Government Media Office in Gaza, as of May 8, 38 hospitals, 81 health centers, and 164 health institutions have been destroyed, burned, or rendered out of service during the Israeli genocide war.
