أعلن الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان اليوم (الإثنين) استعداد بلاده لطمأنة الولايات المتحدة إذا كانت صادقة في قلقها من السلاح النووي، مبيناً إن بلاده لن تستأذن أحداً لتحقيق التنمية والتطور.
ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية للأنباء عن بزشكيان قوله أثناء لقائه وزير الخارجية العراقي فؤاد حسين في طهران: إيران لن تخضع لمنطق القوة، ولن تحرم شعبها من التقنية النووية السلمية.
وكانت قناة «العالم» الرسمية الإيرانية قد نقلت عن وزير الخارجية عباس عراقجي قوله إن المحادثات بين إيران والولايات المتحدة لها دور مؤثر في أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، مضيفاً: المنطقة لديها توجه إيجابي تجاه المفاوضات الإيرانية الأمريكية بشأن برنامج طهران النووي.
وبدوره أكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، أن المواقف المتناقضة لواشنطن تطيل أمد المحادثات وتفقدها الثقة، مشدداً بالقول: «لا يمكن الوصول إلى نتيجة في ظل تغير المواقف».
وكان نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني مجيد تخت روانجي قد قال لوكالة «نور نيوز» الإيرانية: المحادثات النووية بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران ستفشل إذا طالبت واشنطن من طهران التخلي عن تخصيب اليورانيوم محلياً، مضيفاً: في ما يتعلق بالتخصيب الصفري، فقد قلنا منذ البداية إنه إذا كان هذا هو موقفهم (الأمريكيين)، فمن الطبيعي أن العمل لن يصل إلى أي مكان فعلياً.
وأشار إلى أن موقف بلاده من التخصيب واضح، «وقد أكدنا مراراً وتكراراً أن التخصيب إنجاز وطني لنا، ولن نتراجع عن قضية التخصيب».
وخاضت إيران والولايات المتحدة 4 جولات من المفاوضات على مدار الأسابيع الماضية بوساطة عُمانية، ومن المنتظر عقد جولة خامسة من المفاوضات في أوروبا قريباً.
Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian announced today (Monday) the readiness of his country to reassure the United States if it is sincere in its concerns about nuclear weapons, stating that his country will not seek permission from anyone to achieve development and progress.
The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported Bezhakian saying during his meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein in Tehran: Iran will not submit to the logic of power, and will not deprive its people of peaceful nuclear technology.
The official Iranian channel "Al-Alam" quoted Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as saying that the talks between Iran and the United States have a significant impact on the security and stability of the region, adding: The region has a positive attitude towards the Iranian-American negotiations regarding Tehran's nuclear program.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei confirmed that Washington's contradictory positions prolong the talks and undermine trust, emphasizing: "No results can be achieved in the face of changing positions."
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi told the Iranian news agency "Noor News": The nuclear talks between the United States and Iran will fail if Washington demands that Tehran abandon local uranium enrichment, adding: Regarding zero enrichment, we have said from the beginning that if this is their (the Americans') position, it is natural that the work will not reach any actual conclusion.
He pointed out that his country's position on enrichment is clear, "and we have repeatedly confirmed that enrichment is a national achievement for us, and we will not back down on the issue of enrichment."
Iran and the United States have engaged in four rounds of negotiations over the past weeks with Omani mediation, and a fifth round of negotiations is expected to be held in Europe soon.
