أمير جازان يرعى انطلاق فعاليات «موسم التشجير الوطني»

The Prince of Jazan Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, along with his deputy, Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jiluwi, inaugurated the activities of the "National Tree Planting Season 2025" in its second edition during his reception at the emirate of the Director General of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification in the region, Khalid bin Hassan Al-Hazmi, and the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch, Engineer Mohammed Al-Ateef.

The Prince of Jazan symbolically planted the first seedlings, marking the launch of the season's activities in the governorates and centers of the Jazan region.

On this occasion, the Prince emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between government and community to ensure the success of the tree planting season and to support sustainable environmental initiatives that contribute to achieving the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative. He appreciated the significance of continuing efforts to protect the environment, develop natural resources, and expand community participation to achieve sustainable development.

The National Tree Planting Season in its second edition comes as an extension of national efforts aimed at achieving the targets of the "Saudi Green Initiative" by developing vegetation cover, reducing land degradation, encouraging the planting of suitable local plants, raising awareness of sound environmental practices, enhancing the culture of volunteering, and embodying the integration between various public, private, and non-profit sectors.
