أعلنت هيئة السوق المالية، في بيان اليوم (السبت)، صدور أمر ملكي يقضي بتعيين الدكتور مريع بن سعد بن مريع هبّاش عضواً في مجلس الهيئة.
ورفعت الهيئة شكرها وامتنانها لمقام خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي عهده الأمين،على الدعم الكبير والاهتمام المستمر الذي تحظى به الهيئة والسوق المالية بجميع عناصرها، ما مكّنها من مواصلة جهودها في تطوير السوق وتعزيز مكانتها إقليمياً ودولياً.
كما ثمنت الهيئة جهود سعادة الدكتور وليد بن محمد العيسى، عضو مجلس الهيئة السابق، سائلةً المولى عز وجل له التوفيق والسداد في مهماته الجديدة بعد تعيينه عضواً في مجلس الشورى.
وأكدت الهيئة أن انضمام الدكتور مريع إلى عضوية المجلس يُمثل إضافة نوعية لما يتمتع به من خبرات أكاديمية ومهنية واسعة في مجالات حوكمة الشركات، والمحاسبة، والأسواق المالية، والاستثمار، حيث يحمل شهادة الدكتوراه في حوكمة الشركات من جامعة درم، والماجستير في المحاسبة والتمويل من جامعة برمنغهام، إلى جانب الزمالة السعودية للمحاسبين القانونيين، وعدد من الدبلومات العليا في التحكيم التجاري وريادة الأعمال والاستدامة. كما شغل عدداً من المناصب الأكاديمية والقيادية، من أبرزها رئاسة قسم المحاسبة بجامعة الملك خالد، ورئاسة خدمات الحوكمة في مركز الحوكمة التابع لصندوق الاستثمارات العامة، إضافة إلى عمله مستشاراً للحوكمة في المركز الوطني لتنمية القطاع غير الربحي وهيئة السوق المالية.
The Capital Market Authority announced, in a statement today (Saturday), the issuance of a royal decree appointing Dr. Murri'a bin Saad bin Murri'a Habash as a member of the Authority's Council.
The Authority expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trustworthy Crown Prince for the significant support and continuous attention that the Authority and the financial market receive in all its elements, which has enabled it to continue its efforts in developing the market and enhancing its position regionally and internationally.
The Authority also commended the efforts of His Excellency Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Issa, a former member of the Authority's Council, wishing him success and prosperity in his new duties after being appointed as a member of the Shura Council.
The Authority confirmed that Dr. Murri'a's joining the Council represents a qualitative addition due to his extensive academic and professional experiences in the fields of corporate governance, accounting, financial markets, and investment. He holds a Ph.D. in corporate governance from Durham University, a master's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Birmingham, in addition to the Saudi fellowship for certified accountants, and several higher diplomas in commercial arbitration, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. He has also held several academic and leadership positions, most notably the head of the Accounting Department at King Khalid University, and the head of Governance Services at the Governance Center of the Public Investment Fund, in addition to his work as a governance consultant at the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector and the Capital Market Authority.
