شاركت وزارة التعليم في المؤتمر الختامي لمبادرة «معاً لمستقبل عظيم» (GREAT FUTURES)، إحدى مبادرات مجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجي السعودي-البريطاني التي أطلقت في الرياض العام الماضي.
وتصدرت منظومة التعليم الاتفاقيات الموقعة بين الجانبين السعودي-البريطاني بواقع (13) شراكة من أصل (38) اتفاقية وشراكة في مجالات أخرى.
وترأس مساعد وزير التعليم للتعليم الخاص والاستثمار المهندس إياد القرعاوي وفد الوزارة المشارك في أعمال المؤتمر، واستعرض عدداً من مستهدفات الشراكة مع الجانب البريطاني في مجالات التعليم، وتنمية المهارات، والتركيز على القطاعات ذات الأولوية المشتركة، مثل: الابتكار في التعليم، إضافةً إلى عرض فرص الاستثمار في قطاعات التعليم والتدريب والبحث، والتوسع في افتتاح المدارس والجامعات البريطانية في المملكة، وفق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وتحدث القرعاوي خلال ورشة العمل «الابتكار في التعليم» التي أقيمت ضمن جدول أعمال المؤتمر، عن أهداف رؤية المملكة 2030 فيما يتعلق بقطاع التعليم، مستعرضاً رحلة المملكة في الاستثمار بالثروة البشرية، وتناول تطور التعليم من الفصول الدراسية إلى مختبرات المستقبل، والتحول الرقمي، وتطبيق الذكاء الاصطناعي التوليدي في المناهج الدراسية وتمكين المعلمين وإلهام الطلبة، إلى جانب الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص في الاستثمار بقطاع التعليم.
وتهدف مبادرة «معاً لمستقبل عظيم» إلى بناء شراكات سعودية-بريطانية على مستوى القطاعين الحكومي والخاص في مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية والتنموية التي تدعم رؤية المملكة 2030، وتطوير التجارة والاستثمار المتبادل.
The Ministry of Education participated in the closing conference of the "Great Futures" initiative, one of the initiatives of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council launched in Riyadh last year.
The education system topped the agreements signed between the Saudi and British sides, with (13) partnerships out of (38) agreements and partnerships in other fields.
The Assistant Minister of Education for Private Education and Investment, Engineer Iyad Al-Qarawi, headed the ministry's delegation participating in the conference activities, reviewing several partnership targets with the British side in the fields of education, skills development, and focusing on sectors of mutual priority, such as: innovation in education, in addition to presenting investment opportunities in the sectors of education, training, and research, and expanding the establishment of British schools and universities in the Kingdom, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
During the workshop "Innovation in Education" held as part of the conference agenda, Al-Qarawi discussed the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 regarding the education sector, reviewing the Kingdom's journey in investing in human capital, addressing the evolution of education from classrooms to future laboratories, digital transformation, and the application of generative artificial intelligence in curricula to empower teachers and inspire students, along with the partnership with the private sector in investing in the education sector.
The "Great Futures" initiative aims to build Saudi-British partnerships at both the government and private sectors across various economic and developmental sectors that support Saudi Vision 2030, and to develop trade and mutual investment.
