أعلن المستشار بالديوان الملكي المشرف العام على الفريق الطبي والجراحي لعملية فصل التوأم السيامي «لارا ويارا» الدكتور عبدالله الربيعة، نجاح «مرحلة الفصل» في العملية الجراحية التي تجري في مستشفى الملك عبدالله التخصصي للأطفال بمدينة الملك عبدالعزيز الطبية بالحرس الوطني في الرياض.
وأوضح الدكتور الربيعة أن الفريق الطبي بدأ في المرحلة السادسة من العملية، مشيراً إلى أن الجهود تسير وفق ما هو مخطط له من حيث التوقيت والدقة، وسط متابعة طبية مكثفة لضمان سلامة التوأم واستقرار وضعهما الصحي.
وتُعد هذه العملية واحدة من أبرز مبادرات البرنامج السعودي لفصل التوائم السيامية، الذي يحظى بدعم مباشر من القيادة، ويجسد التقدم الطبي والإنساني الذي حققته المملكة في هذا المجال.
كما يواصل الفريق الطبي المتخصص تنفيذ المراحل الجراحية التسع المقررة بدقة عالية، وسط ترقب واسع لنتائج العملية التي تُعد من العمليات النادرة والمعقدة على مستوى العالم.
وبيّن الدكتور الربيعة أن الفريق الطبي يتوقع بحلول الساعة السادسة مساء خروج التوأم من غرفة العمليات على سريرين منفصلين، في إنجاز طبي جديد يُسجل ضمن سلسلة النجاحات السعودية في هذا المجال.
The advisor at the Royal Court and the general supervisor of the medical and surgical team for the separation of the conjoined twins "Lara and Yara," Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, announced the success of the "separation phase" in the surgical operation taking place at King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital in King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah explained that the medical team has begun the sixth phase of the operation, noting that efforts are proceeding according to the planned schedule in terms of timing and precision, with intensive medical monitoring to ensure the safety of the twins and the stability of their health condition.
This operation is considered one of the most prominent initiatives of the Saudi program for the separation of conjoined twins, which enjoys direct support from the leadership and embodies the medical and humanitarian progress achieved by the Kingdom in this field.
The specialized medical team continues to carry out the nine planned surgical phases with high precision, amid widespread anticipation for the results of the operation, which is considered one of the rare and complex procedures globally.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah indicated that the medical team expects that by 6 PM, the twins will exit the operating room on two separate beds, marking a new medical achievement recorded in the series of Saudi successes in this field.
