The Ministry of Commerce revealed that the total number of food items and products provided to the guests of Allah in the holy sites exceeded 234 million items and products during the Hajj season, in collaboration with government agencies and in partnership with the private sector.

The most consumed items included juices, refreshments, dairy products, drinking water, baked goods, canned foods, and various food products and goods. The monitoring teams from the Ministry of Commerce began covering the food supply situation for the guests of Allah by inspecting sales outlets and ensuring the availability of goods and products. They also oversaw the supply chains, in addition to their regulatory roles over commercial establishments, sales outlets, and stalls to ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations.
