اختار رواد كشافة أملج أن تكون خطوتهم باتجاه الزمن الجميل عبر زيارة متحف الحوراء بمركز الشبعان، الذي لا يكتفي بعرض القطع التراثية، بل يروي حكاية وطن تزدهر ذاكرته بين جدران الطين وأدوات الأجداد، جاءت هذه الزيارة احتفاءً باليوم العالمي للمتاحف وتأكيداً على أهمية المتاحف في صون الهوية الثقافية وتعزيز الانتماء الوطني لدى النشء.
وتجوّل أعضاء الكشافة في أروقة المتحف مطلعين على المقتنيات التراثية المتنوعة التي تعكس ملامح الحياة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية في أملج قديما من أدوات الزراعة والصيد إلى الملابس القديمة، كما استمعوا إلى شرح من مؤسس المتحف عبد الحميد دحيلان الحمدي، الذي استعرض أمامهم أبرز المراحل التي مرّ بها في جمع وتوثيق هذه الكنوز التراثية.
وعبّرت مديرة مكتب رواد كشافة أملج فدوى الجهني عن اعتزازها بهذه الزيارة التي وصفتها بأنها رحلة في ذاكرة المكان والإنسان، مشيرة إلى أن مشاركة الكشافة في مثل هذه الفعاليات تعزز من قيم المواطنة وتسهم في ترسيخ مفاهيم الاعتزاز بالتاريخ المحلي.
وأضافت الجهني: «نعمل جاهدين على أن تكون أنشطتنا الجاذبة متكاملة تحمل في طياتها رسالة تربوية ووطنية وثقافية في آن واحد».
من جانبه عبّر الحمدي عن سعادته بزيارة وفد الكشافة، مشيراً إلى أهمية غرس قيم الاعتزاز بالتراث في نفوس الأجيال الجديدة، ودور المتاحف في حفظ التاريخ الشفوي والمادي للمجتمع المحلي
واختتمت زيارة رواد كشافة أملج لمتحف الحوراء بتأكيد أهمية مثل هذه المبادرات في تعزيز الوعي بالتراث الوطني، وربط الأجيال الصاعدة بجذورها الثقافية.
كما تأتي هذه الخطوة امتداداً لدور الكشافة في خدمة المجتمع، والمساهمة في دعم الجهود الرامية إلى صون الموروث الحضاري للمملكة، تماشياً مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في تعزيز الهوية الوطنية.
The scouts of Umluj chose to take a step toward the beautiful past by visiting the Al-Houraa Museum in the Al-Shabaan Center, which not only showcases heritage pieces but also tells the story of a nation whose memory flourishes between the walls of clay and the tools of ancestors. This visit came in celebration of International Museum Day and as a confirmation of the importance of museums in preserving cultural identity and enhancing national belonging among the youth.
The scout members toured the museum's corridors, exploring the diverse heritage collections that reflect the social and economic aspects of life in Umluj in the past, from agricultural and fishing tools to old clothing. They also listened to an explanation from the museum's founder, Abdul Hamid Duhailan Al-Hamdi, who presented to them the key stages he went through in collecting and documenting these heritage treasures.
Fadwa Al-Juhani, the director of the Umluj Scouts Office, expressed her pride in this visit, describing it as a journey into the memory of place and people. She pointed out that the scouts' participation in such events enhances the values of citizenship and contributes to instilling concepts of pride in local history.
Al-Juhani added, “We strive to ensure that our engaging activities are comprehensive, carrying an educational, national, and cultural message all at once.”
For his part, Al-Hamdi expressed his happiness with the visit of the scout delegation, pointing to the importance of instilling values of pride in heritage in the hearts of new generations, and the role of museums in preserving the oral and material history of the local community.
The visit of the Umluj Scouts to the Al-Houraa Museum concluded with an affirmation of the importance of such initiatives in enhancing awareness of national heritage and connecting rising generations to their cultural roots.
This step also extends the role of the scouts in serving the community and contributing to supporting efforts aimed at preserving the cultural heritage of the Kingdom, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in enhancing national identity.
