انتهت بلدية محافظة الخفجي من أعمال الردم والتسوية، بجزء من طريق مكة المكرمة، ضمن برنامج معالجة التشوهات البصرية، وتحسين المشهد الحضري.
من جانبه أوضح رئيس بلدية محافظة الخفجي المهندس محمد بن علي اليامي، بأن البلدية انتهت أخيرا من أعمال ردم وتسوية طريق مكة المكرمة بإجمالي مساحة 45.000 ألف متر مربع، بالإضافة إلى الانتهاء من أعمال طبقة الأساس الركامي، بإجمالي مساحة 40.000 ألف متر مربع، لافتا إلى أن المشروع عبارة عن إنشاء طريق ازدواجي لطريق مكة المكرمة لتعديل المسار القادم من طريق مكة المكرمة باتجاه المدخل الجنوبي للمحافظة، للميدان الذي يربط طريق الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز، بطريق مكة المكرمة بإجمالي طول 2900 متر وعرض 11 مترا للاتجاهين، بالإضافة إلى جزيرة وسطية بعرض 4 أمتار، وسيتم أعمال السفلتة بمساحة إجماليه تبلغ 41650 مترا مربعا من الأسفلت، ويأتي ذلك ضمن اهتمامات البلدية في تطوير المحافظة والمراكز التابعة لها واستمرار جهودها في إطار رفع مستوى أداء الطرق في الأحياء والشوارع الرئيسية وتحقيق رضا مستخدميها في أنحاء المحافظة.
وقال المهندس اليامي إن المحافظة تشهد نشاطاً ملحوظاً في أعمال السفلتة لعدد من الشوارع الرئيسية والفرعية، مشيراً إلى أن البلدية تسعى جاهدة من خلال خطة شاملة إلى تغطية كامل مناطق المحافظة بأعمال الصيانة.
The Municipality of Al Khobar Governorate has completed the filling and leveling works on part of the Makkah Road, as part of the visual distortion treatment program and urban scene improvement.
For his part, the head of the Al Khobar Governorate Municipality, Engineer Mohammed bin Ali Al-Yami, clarified that the municipality has finally completed the filling and leveling works on Makkah Road with a total area of 45,000 square meters, in addition to finishing the works on the granular base layer, with a total area of 40,000 square meters. He pointed out that the project involves the construction of a dual carriageway for Makkah Road to modify the route coming from Makkah Road towards the southern entrance of the governorate, to the square that connects King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road with Makkah Road, with a total length of 2,900 meters and a width of 11 meters for both directions, in addition to a central island with a width of 4 meters. The asphalt works will cover a total area of 41,650 square meters, and this comes as part of the municipality's interests in developing the governorate and its affiliated centers and continuing its efforts to enhance the performance of roads in neighborhoods and main streets, achieving user satisfaction throughout the governorate.
Engineer Al-Yami stated that the governorate is witnessing a noticeable activity in asphalt works for several main and secondary streets, indicating that the municipality is striving hard through a comprehensive plan to cover all areas of the governorate with maintenance works.
