الشورى يطالب مركز إدارة النفايات بمرادم هندسية

The Shura Council issued a decision regarding the annual report of the National Center for Waste Management, demanding that the center coordinate with relevant authorities to transform traditional landfills into engineered landfills, and to develop and qualify its human resources through scholarships and training.

The council discussed, in its 30th regular session of the first year of the ninth term, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Dr. Mishal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, topics referred back to the council in accordance with Article (17) of its system, issuing the necessary decision regarding them, in the presence of the Minister of State, a member of the Council of Ministers for Shura Council Affairs, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said.

The council called on the Saudi Space Agency to enhance the Kingdom's presence in global space indicators and rankings, to support its status as an influential regional and international hub in the field of space.

The council urged the Saudi Press Agency to develop an initiative to produce documentary media materials in multiple languages that focus on the history and present of the Kingdom and highlight its achievements, calling on the agency to prepare research and studies, issue specialized bulletins, and develop media content about the Kingdom.

The council issued a decision regarding the contents of the annual report of the General Authority for Irrigation, demanding that it coordinate with the relevant authorities to finalize the allocation of lands for the strategic initiatives of the authority, and in its decision, it called on the authority to expand the activation of artificial intelligence technologies, increase the number of farms applying modern irrigation systems, and benefit from rainwater harvesting technologies.

The council discussed the annual report of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and council members expressed several observations and opinions regarding the contents of the annual report of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and discussed the annual report of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, as well as the annual report of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones.

At the end of the discussions, the committees requested more time to study the opinions and recommendations raised by the members and to return with their perspectives to the council in a later session.
