توقع مسؤول في نادي العرين حدوث كارثة بسبب خلاف بين وزارة الطرق والبلدية في محافظة ظهران الجنوب بسبب عبّارة تصريف السيول من الجبال الغربية لحي المستشفى الجديد، والتي تتجمع فيها سيول بكميات كبيرة، رغم وجود عبّارتين قريبتين منها ومن الممكن توصيلها ببعض.
وقال: خلال هذه الأيام بدأ المقاول بسفلتة مدخل المستشفى، وقام بحفر منفذ للسيول يتجه إلى ملعب نادي العرين، علما أن الملعب وسور النادي كلفا مبالغ كبيرة، وقّد تحدث كارثة بجرف السور وهدم الملعب. وأوضح رئيس نادي العرين بندر صالح الوادعي أنه سيحمّل المسؤولية من سيتسبب في هذه الكارثة، علما أن لديهم العديد من الحلول، كما أنه توجد شرق النادي أراضي زراعية لمواطنين لا يمكن نفوذ السيول منها شرقاً. وطالب رئيس النادي بمهندسين ذوي خبرة للنظر وحل هذه المشكلة.
A responsible official at Al-Areen Club predicted a disaster due to a conflict between the Ministry of Roads and the Municipality in the Dhahran Al-Janub province regarding a drainage culvert for rainwater from the western mountains to the new hospital neighborhood, where large amounts of rainwater accumulate, despite the presence of two nearby culverts that could potentially be connected.
He stated: During these days, the contractor has started paving the entrance to the hospital and has dug an outlet for the rainwater leading to the Al-Areen Club's field, knowing that the field and the club's wall have cost significant amounts, and a disaster could occur by washing away the wall and destroying the field. Al-Areen Club President Bandar Saleh Al-Wad'i clarified that he will hold accountable anyone who causes this disaster, noting that they have several solutions, and there are agricultural lands to the east of the club owned by citizens that cannot be drained by the rainwater flowing eastward. The club president called for experienced engineers to look into and solve this problem.
